Hey everyone!! I want to start dropping a few gems on the ingredients I use in my products. I’ll be sharing fun facts randomly on here. I mean, who doesn’t want to know about things they’re applying to their skin??!!!

Today I’m going to speak on Kokum butter. Kokum butter or kokum oil is a fat derived from the seeds of the kokum fruit tree “Garcinia indica” also known as (wild mangosteen or red mangosteen). It’s primarily grown in the tropical regions of india.

This is one of my favorite butters for my creams/yogurts. It’s a butter that isn’t too heavy or too light. Unlike Cocoa butter, which has a heavy natural color/scent, Kokum butter is virtually colorless/odorless. Kokum butter is non comedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog your pores!
