Zinke Apiary

Harvested these gorgeous organic hops this morning! We have a flag pole just past the apiary where these massive vines climb year after year and produce these bitter, medicinal, tasty (think IPA🍺) flowers. I dry them and add to our nighttime tea because they help me relax and sleep deeper. This year I’m also tincturing them fresh and am excited to see what effect that has. For my 40% alcohol tinctures I only use Western Reserve Distillers vodka becayse it’s local, organic, and the highest quality 🙌

Have you ever seen honeycomb? 🍯 The honey bees fill their perfect little hexagonal beeswax cells with nectar and enzymes (from their honey guts). Then they dehydrate it until it’s the perfect level of moisture (because it will ferment otherwise) and cap it with beeswax for storage. Look at the beautiful colors and patterns of these frames full of capped honey 😍🐝

Of course all of the plants and natural ingredients I use are naturally solar powered 🌱, but I also use a lot of electricity when I’m making products and it’s 100% renewable! Another way to feel good using Zinke Apiary products 💛
