If you are living in the shadow of your last season, you are going to miss every single blessing that God has for you in your new season. Luke 17:32 says, “Remember Lot’s wife.” In Genesis 19, God sent angels to tell Lot and his family that he was going to deliver them out of S***m and Gomorrah and for them to not look back and because Lot’s wife had a moment of missing the life that she was being delivered out of she turned around for a second to reminisce, and God turned her into a pillar of salt. The days of your last season are long gone, but for some reason you’re holding on to the feelings and the memories. Let them go. Make a conscious decision every day that you are going to walk into the new season that God has promised you and your last season will forever remain in the shadows.

I told God this morning that I’m drowning, and he told me to lift my hand up. I’m praying for release and the Holy Spirit simply said to extend my arm to Christ. The rest is between God and I, but for you, have you extended your arms?

Sometimes, you just need one more day. One more day to say I can do this. One more day to feel favor. We get caught in our own personal struggles and strifes, and we forget that God works in his time to work things out. Sometimes you just need one more day. Sometimes you just have to let the current day troubles be that. Don’t take it into the next day. God wakes us up each day with new mercies, why would you take yesterday’s troubles into today? He gives you a new day, every day, to say I’m still fighting for you. Sometimes you just need one more day.

Put it up. Clean it, do what you need to do, but put it up. Whatever is ailing you, burdening you, separating you from God, PUT IT UP.
Think about it: We do our best to have self maintenance days or as some may call them, self care days. Those are days we specifically designate to be purposeful in taking care of our minds and bodies. We set out to upkeep on our maintenance and place whatever care back in the best shape possible, whether it’s hair, nails, retail therapy or all of the above. The same goes with the issues in your heart. Take care of those issues. Make sure they go where they need to go, meaning you prayed, gave it to God, and allowed him to work through the issue or issues AFTER you have done your part and you have tucked them away. Put it up and leave it alone. Let God heal your heart from there.

Sometimes, we sit in a really weird space with God. What I mean is, we know him to answer prayers, but some more quickly than others. In the moments that we are waiting for the other prayers to be answered, we’re in this waiting room that we don’t want nor like to be in. So, what do we do? How do we wait? Patiently. It’s hard to believe that that is his requirement of us but it’s in that waiting room that our faith in him increases. It’s during those quiet moments where our flesh is unsure, and the Holy Spirit is telling our spirit to trust him. In your waiting room, trust God that your name will get called and the blessing on the other side of that wait is above all what you prayed for, no matter how long you’re waiting.
