A friend of ours had a lovely, storebought, human hair wig that just did not fit her properly. So we did a massive resizing and added a new part line and front! The resizing require a bit more than your standard darting, as over half of the cap was made with stretch net (great for hiding tons of hair under a wig, not great for downsizing). Not the most time-saving solution, but definitely a success is working with what you've got!

▪︎SLIDE 1: Completed wig after adjustments!
▪︎SLIDE 2: cutting the cap into its individual pieces; addition of supplemental lace hems to ear support areas and across the top from ear to ear to allow wig pieces to be sew back together after resizing; placement of the back portion of the wig on top of lace structural reinforcements.
▪︎SLIDE 3: addition of a hemmed parting lace & newly laid front lace, all tied to the reinforced lace structure; new hair tied into the gaps at the ear supports; addition of the newly resized side panels, then to be sewn into the support lace.
▪︎SLIDE 4: interior cap details after completion of knotting. All interior edges were pre-hemmed. New knotting throughout entire front and center part, as well as anywhere there were gaps in the 'puzzle pieces'.
▪︎SLIDE 5: hairline detail. Front inch has bleached knots, done prior to the addition of mohair detailing since mohair often picks up a strange color when bleached.

Brunette Babe

Finished up this fully custom wig for our last remaining film order today. The cap on this lady includes a stretch net back panel to accommodate the actress's natural hair length changing significantly (due to the postponed start date). The hair is a tri-tonal dark brown with a natural gradient fade from crown to nape, and has a lovely natural wave to it. ..
It's been interesting knotting during this pandemic. While wigmaking is the perfect self-isolation career, it's also impossible to proceed with 'work as usual' since the film industry has shut down. Fingers crossed we all get back to work soon! We miss collaborating with all of you talented people.

Had the pleasure of doing the wig customizations for on this AMAZING display of Famke Janssen as Phoenix from X-men. Thanks for having me on for this, Greg!

▪︎Started with a in Basic Red.
▪︎Then added dark level 3 roots followed by an overall color shift to a more burgundy red, followed with a gloss coat.
▪︎Cut in bangs and layers
▪︎Added curl (using extra setting lotion and product for extended hold since this will sit on display)
▪︎Styled to match! ... I may have rewatched the original X-men while doing so....

3/4 wig alteration

Sometime all you need is a little extra hair. This piece will be used to augment the actress' natural hair for some period appropriate styles. The coloring in her actual hairline is amazing, but her hair is relative thin and not long enough to achieve the desired look. So instead of completely covering her hair, the head hairstylist opted to have us transform this wig into a 3/4 piece. The actress' actual hairline is show in blue on the head form. This piece will be applied as shown here, and then her natural edges will be worked into the style to blend seamlessly with this piece.

We were lucky enough to get to make the beard for that you see in all of the promo shots for the new show Mythic Quest, like this one here! He used his own beard for the episodes, but when it came time to shoot promos Rob was knee-deep in Always Sunny, where he is significantly less hairy. So we made this beard to match the look he has in the series. Thanks to the ever-wonderful for being the best and having us come lend a hand!

Another project out the door, and this one was a complete blast to create. This wig started as a basic mens 6" platinum. We then resized, refronted, changed the part, extended the nape, clarifyied and multi-process colored this baby to perfection.

1️⃣: BEFORE AND AFTER
2️⃣: PRE-COLOR STEPS -
Nair the part and add new front and nape lace. Knot to new hairline. Clarify wig with strongest service prep clarified (we like the one best!). Then process with Un-Goo. This removes any mineral buildup on the premade wig hair and preps the follicle to accept the new color much easier.
3️⃣: COLOR PROCESS - apply root tone to wig. We used vivid blue mixed with 10% black to create a deep root color. Wash. Because the wig is ready to grab color, the rest of the wig picks up a nice soft blue hue when washing out the root tone. This ends up being the highlight color. Dry wig and then add all over tone, applying with varying saturation to create dimension (we used blue topaz).

It's been a crazy start to the year. This handsome guy is project 7/13 for 2020, and he's on his way out the door and overseas for filming ✔. This started as a John Blake women's wig, because hair length was very important for this character. So we majorly resized the cap, extended the nape, created a brand new side part, and refronted the base wig to bring the designer's vision to life.

Made from a gradient of 3 different 24" custom colors with roots. She's med-low density to prevent the wig from getting too heavy with all those inches of hair.
Special thanks to knotters and .makeup.wigs for their help with the back, nape, and finishing gloss of our pretty lady. We can't wait to see this wig in action!

It's been refronts for days over here (though weeks is probably more accurate)! Started with a Stilazzi Bleach blonde mens wig, changed up the part, redid the front, and added some brighter blonde around the face and through the top ton soften the coloring. Now he's ready to rock and roll!

Full lace topper for an individual client. Photo on headblock is pre-cut and style. Our client wanted to upgrade his store bought topper and we went for a full replacement. The curly texture keeps him young and trendy. And boy do we love the way it turned out.

Feeling mad vibes on a recent wig customization.

Started with a in basic red. Refronted and retied the top to make it more conducive to this style of bang. Added some baby hairs around the exposed edges. Permed with larger rods for natural curl texure. Amped up the red with 3 different color blends and a root shadow using .
