A human hair piece gives you fullness in the front and sides without the use of clips, tape or micro

A little pink, and something personal. 💗

At 43, I recently had my first mammogram. I went in thinking it would be no big deal. No family history of breast cancer, feeling healthy, and nothing that had made me think something was wrong.

Then, after the very first image, the tech told me they would need an extra picture and that I shouldn’t be surprised if I got called back.

Apparently, I have really dense breast tissue.

She eventually explained that extra imaging can happen, especially with a first mammogram when there aren’t previous scans to compare. But my brain had already grabbed onto “the doctor might call you back” and started running with it. 🙈

I was told results could take up to ten days. So when my phone rang just two days later, and they wanted another look at only my right breast, I was quietly overthinking everything.

Thankfully, my follow-up showed overlapping breast tissue. Everything checked out, and now we have images to compare with at my next screening. Such a relief.

But those days of uncertainty stayed with me. So did the realization that a little more explanation at the beginning would have made the experience feel much less frightening.

With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to share more than just the pink. If you’re due for your mammogram, let this be a gentle nudge to make the appointment. If you’re unsure when to start, ask your provider. And if something during your appointment worries you, ask them to explain. You deserve that time and understanding.

To the women waiting for answers, going through treatment, or carrying a story much harder than mine—I’m thinking of you, too. 💗

Can you wear the Secret Tiara with short hair? Absolutely.

Sometimes it helps bridge those awkward stages when you’re growing out a pixie or shorter cut. It can add fullness, give you a little more length and make the waiting feel a whole lot easier.

But growing it out isn’t the only option.

The Secret Tiara can also be cut and customized to work with the short style you already love—including adding a pop of color without coloring your natural hair.

Because alternative hair doesn’t always have to replace something.

Sometimes it just gives you more ways to be you. 💜

More than hair. More you.

Sometimes hair loss chooses your haircut for you.

I know this one personally. 🤎

There were stages of my hair-loss journey when cutting my hair shorter wasn’t really about wanting a new style. It was about trying to make the hair I still had look healthy and intentional.

And then came the fun part… growing it back. 😅

If you’ve ever grown out short hair, you know the stage. Too long to behave like the haircut you had. Not long enough to look like the hair you’re trying to get back to.

These photos are all me, at different stages of that journey.

And this became another thing I loved about the Secret Tiara.

I didn’t have to wait for my hair to catch up with how I wanted to feel.

I could add back some of the length and fullness I was missing through the front and sides while letting my own hair continue growing underneath.

Maybe you’re growing back from hair loss.

Maybe you’re growing out the pixie you absolutely loved… until you didn’t. 😉

Either way, you don’t have to hate your hair while you wait.

Because sometimes alternative hair isn’t about replacing your hair.

Sometimes it’s simply a bridge between where your hair is and where you want it to be. 🤎

Before Psykhē was a business, it was something I desperately needed.

About a year after having my third baby, life was full.

Three little boys. Long days behind the chair. A house to keep up with. Kids to get where they needed to go. Everyone and everything seemed to need something from me.

Somewhere in the middle of taking care of everyone else, I stopped taking care of myself.

I had let my thyroid medication lapse for months. And eventually, my body got my attention in a way I couldn’t ignore.

My hair started falling out.

By the time I got back on medication, the damage was done. My body needed time to regulate. My hair needed even more time to grow.

But I still had to look in the mirror every day while I waited.

So I created something.

The first version of the Secret Tiara wasn’t born from a business plan. It came from wanting the fullness around my face back. Wanting to recognize the woman in the mirror again. Wanting control over one little thing when so much inside of me felt out of my control.

It didn’t fix everything.

But sometimes making the outside feel a little more like me made everything else a little easier to face.

Eventually my hair grew back.

And that little piece I created out of desperation became a patented product I could use to help other women through their own seasons of change.

That’s why Psykhē has never been just about hair to me.

It’s about the woman underneath it. 🤎

Maybe nobody warned you that losing weight might mean losing hair, too. 🤍

For some women taking GLP-1 medications, changes in their hair can come as an unexpected part of their weight-loss journey.

One possible reason is telogen effluvium — temporary excessive shedding that can happen when the body experiences a major change or stressor, including significant or rapid weight loss. Changes in nutrition may also play a role. Researchers are still studying exactly how GLP-1 medications and hair loss are connected.

And while figuring out why you’re losing hair belongs in a conversation with your healthcare provider or dermatologist…

Feeling like yourself in the meantime is something we know a little bit about. 🤎

The Secret Tiara was created to add fullness through the front and sides of the hair — areas traditional extensions often don’t address.

No clips.
No tape.
No microbeads.

Just your own hair… with a little more of what you miss.

Because maybe your hair comes back.

Maybe it takes time.

Either way, you don’t have to put feeling beautiful on hold while you wait.

Can I sleep in my Secret Tiara? 🤔

Technically? Yes.

If you accidentally fall asleep wearing your Secret Tiara, don’t panic. It isn’t going to damage your hair. 🤍

But for overnight sleep, we recommend removing it before bed. Tossing and turning can cause the piece to shift, twist or tangle—and honestly, one of the best things about the Secret Tiara is how easy it is to take off at night and reinstall when you’re getting ready the next morning.

Now, naps?

That’s a different story. 😂

Any chance I get to sneak in a nap, that Tiara is staying RIGHT where it is. I’m not wasting precious nap minutes taking my hair off. 🤣

Have a Secret Tiara question you’ve been wondering about? Ask me. Chances are, I’ve been there too. 🤎

What if you could add fullness exactly where your hair needs it—without traditional extensions? 🤍

The Secret Tiara was designed to do something most extensions don’t: add hair through the front and sides, where so many women actually want the extra fullness.

It blends with your own hair to create a natural, customized finish—without clips, tape or microbeads.

Wear it because your hair has changed.
Wear it because you want more volume.
Wear it because you want to play with color or length.

Or simply wear it because you love the way you feel in it. ✨

Your hair. Your style. Your choice.

Who said alternative hair had to be about replacing something? 💕

Sometimes it’s about adding something.

More volume. More length. A different style. Or—in this case—a little pink without committing my own hair to it. 😉

That’s one of my favorite things about customizing a Secret Tiara. This piece was colored and cut to blend with my own hair while giving me pops of pink exactly where I wanted them.

And when I was done with pink?

My own hair hadn’t changed.

Alternative hair can absolutely be a beautiful solution for thinning or hair loss. But it can also just be fun.

Change your color. Change your length. Add fullness. Try something you wouldn’t normally do to your own hair.

And then go live your life in it. 💕

Because hair doesn’t always have to solve a problem.

Sometimes you get to wear it simply because you love it.

Beautiful hair is one thing. Making it look like YOUR hair is another. ✨

One of the biggest differences between simply putting on a hairpiece and creating a truly seamless finish is customization.

Two things we recommend whenever possible:

✨ Custom color for a seamless blend
✨ A customized part for a flawless finish

Every woman’s natural part is a little different — where it sits, how wide it is, and how much scalp naturally shows.

That’s why the Secret Tiara doesn’t need to cover your natural part. We customize a space that rest in your part.

The result?

Your scalp. Your hairline. Your part.

The Secret Tiara simply adds the fullness around it.

And please don’t feel like you have to figure this out alone. 💕

Need help choosing your color or creating your customized part? Reach out to us. We’re happy to walk you through the process step by step.

Because the goal isn’t for someone to notice your hairpiece.

It’s for them to notice your hair.
