Willpower is a terrible substitute for the Holy Spirit. We have been conditioned to believe that "forcing it" is a sign of maturity, but a branch doesn't struggle to produce a grape; it just stays connected to the source.

If your soul is running on fumes, it’s because you’ve been acting like a reservoir that has to hold everything in instead of a river that lets the Spirit flow.

You are currently:

-Forcing yourself to be patient when you are actually exhausted

-Trying to manufacture joy in a situation that is genuinely painful

-Acting like a reservoir that has to hold everything in instead of a river that lets it flow

-Hoping your own willpower will be enough to keep you going

And finding your soul is running on fumes.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love joy peace forbearance kindness goodness faithfulness gentleness and self control.” : Galatians 5:22–23

Self effort says: I must work harder to be a better person.

The Spirit says: Abide in the Vine and the fruit will come naturally.

You were never meant to be the source of your own strength. You were designed to be a vessel for His.

Maybe today you:

✅ Stop "trying" to be spiritual and start "being" with Jesus

✅ Admit that you are tired of performing for God and just want to rest in Him

✅ Pray: Holy Spirit grow Your fruit in me today because I can't do it

When you stop trying to manufacture the fruit you finally have the energy to enjoy the Vine. A branch doesn't struggle to produce a grape it just stays connected to the source. Take a deep breath and let the Spirit do the heavy lifting today. You are a child of God not a project manager.
