Sometimes growth happens so gradually that you don’t realize how far you’ve come until you’re holding the proof in your hands. 🌿🎓
My diploma arrived today.
This journey asked a lot of me—personally, professionally, and academically. There were seasons when I was growing, rebuilding, learning, and simply trying to keep going all at the same time.
And today, I get to hold this and say: I did it.
Officially, Dr. Colleen M. Muchowski, DMFT. 💙
A beautiful reminder that becoming who we’re meant to be doesn’t always happen in a straight line. Sometimes we grow roots in the hardest seasons. 🌱

A little fall reflection from the therapy chair. 🍂☕️
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” — The Great Gatsby
There’s something about fall that feels like permission to begin again. To slow down. To let go of what isn’t working. To settle into what matters. And maybe to remember that starting over doesn’t always have to mean starting from scratch.
Sometimes it simply means choosing differently from where you are now. 🤎
Here’s to getting a little more rooted this season. 🌿🍂

Tried a new yoga class tonight and whew… 🧘♀️😮💨
It was HARD. I’m exhausted. And I was definitely reminded that growth doesn’t always look graceful. 😂
Sometimes growth is trying something new, modifying when you need to, wobbling a little (or a lot), and being willing to be a beginner again. 🌿
Tonight I showed up, challenged myself, and did something that was outside my comfort zone.
And now? This. 😂
Rest is part of the practice too. 🤍

🍂 Monday reminder: You’re allowed to change with the season.
Fall is a reminder that letting go doesn’t always have to be dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like:
✨ releasing a habit that isn’t helping anymore
✨ saying no without a long explanation
✨ changing your mind
✨ slowing down
✨ making space for something new
✨ choosing what feels more like you
You don’t have to carry everything from one season into the next.
This week, ask yourself:
What am I ready to let feel a little lighter? 🍁
Here’s to a new week, a new season, and staying rooted through all of it. 🤎

🍂 There’s something about fall that feels like permission to begin again.
Maybe it’s the cooler air, the changing leaves, or the reminder that letting go can be beautiful too. Fall invites us to slow down, take stock of where we are, and decide what we want to carry with us into the next season—and what we’re ready to leave behind.
A fresh start doesn’t always require a huge life change. Sometimes it’s a new boundary. A different routine. Choosing yourself a little more often. Resting without guilt. Or simply recognizing that you don’t have to keep doing something just because you’ve always done it that way.
Here’s to crisp air, cozy days, and giving ourselves permission to start again. 🍁🤎

A pretty special moment for Rooted with Colleen. 🌿🤍
After months of research, writing, creating, editing (and more formatting than I ever imagined 😂), I finally have the physical copies of Once Upon a Baby Dream in my hands.
These resources were created to help couples navigating infertility feel more connected, understood, and supported through an experience that can put enormous strain on a relationship.
Seeing them go from an idea, to my doctoral work, to something I can actually hold is pretty incredible.
This is why I started Rooted. 🌱

Yoga teacher training tonight 🧘♀️🌿
We’re diving into the Sanskrit names of the asanas—not just learning what the poses are called, but breaking down how to actually teach them: cueing, alignment, transitions, modifications, and helping different bodies find their version of the pose.
There is SO much more to teaching yoga than knowing how to do yoga. And I’m loving learning the why behind what happens on the mat.
Still learning. Still practicing. Still growing. 🌱

🌿 Now Available for CEU Presentations!
One of the parts of my work I’m especially excited to continue growing is training and educating other mental health professionals.
I’m currently available to provide in-person and virtual CEU presentations for practices, agencies, organizations, professional groups, and conferences.
One of my featured trainings is:
🌱 Once Upon a Baby Dream: Recognizing the Hidden Relationship Impact of Infertility
This presentation goes beyond the medical side of infertility to explore what can happen within the relationship—attachment, communication, intimacy, identity, emotional connection, and the ways couples cope differently with an incredibly complex experience.
I’m also developing and offering CEU trainings focused on relationship patterns, attachment, red/yellow/green flags, unhealthy relationship dynamics, and clinical assessment and intervention.
My goal is for every training to be practical, evidence-based, compassionate, and immediately useful in the therapy room.
If your practice, agency, organization, or professional group is looking for a CEU speaker, I’d love to connect. 🌿

The last couple days of yoga teacher training were all about inversions, arm balances, breathwork, and learning to trust my body in some very unfamiliar positions. 🧘♀️
And the timing was kind of fitting, because this weekend definitely required some balance off the mat too. We lost power at home, things have been a bit of a mess, and as of tonight… we’re still without power. 😩
But I showed up anyway. I breathed. I tried things that intimidated me. I fell out of poses. I tried again. And somehow ended the weekend doing things I wasn’t sure I could do.
Sometimes balance isn’t about everything being calm and perfectly aligned. Sometimes it’s finding your center while everything around you feels a little upside down. 💜
And apparently sometimes that means literally being upside down. 😂

✨ A dream is becoming reality. ✨
What began as my doctoral research is almost ready to reach the people it was created for.
Once Upon a Baby Dream is a therapist-guided infertility support program that includes both a Facilitator Guide and a Couple’s Workbook. It was developed from research, evidence-based relationship approaches, clinical experience, and a deep passion for supporting couples through the emotional challenges of infertility.
After months of editing, refining, and preparing these resources, they are now in the final stages before being self-published on Amazon.
My hope is that these workbooks will help therapists confidently facilitate infertility support groups while giving couples practical tools to strengthen communication, connection, and resilience throughout their journey.
This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon. 💚
