WE ARE DOING PUERTO RICO FASHION WEEK 🌺

From being that quirky little girl who was way too proud of where she came from, to now having the opportunity to go back and work there…

I’ve spent so much time building my career behind the chair. Learning, experimenting, figuring things out, and becoming the kind of stylist I want to be. And now I get to take all of that with me to Puerto Rico.

My heart feels SO full.

I’m ready to represent, create, learn, and make my people proud.

Sometimes the best way to understand your natural texture is to give it a fresh start.

She came in ready to let go of the length that had been affected by years of heat styling, so we took the leap and cut it off. Now she gets to see what her curls actually do without the weight and damage from the past.

No hiding the texture. No fighting it. Just learning her curls again. 🫧🩵

When curly hair is dehydrated, it can look rough, frizzy, dull, and much more damaged than it actually is. Before reaching for the scissors, sometimes the better first step is figuring out what the hair is asking for.

With the right hydration + styling approach, we were able to bring so much definition and softness back to her curls while keeping the length she wanted.

Her first trim towards healthy beautiful curls 🤎

Sometimes a color refresh is about knowing when to stop.

For this appointment, we matched her hair back to her natural color while focusing on rebuilding the integrity of her hair after years of over-processing.

We didn’t cut away everything that needed to go today, but we did give her hair a much-needed reset with K18 Hair . The goal is to get her hair stronger, more manageable, and better able to hold onto her color as we continue working toward healthier ends.

She also doesn’t typically use heat on her hair, which is going to make the growing-out process much easier. We can focus on maintaining what we have, allowing the healthier hair to grow in, and gradually removing the compromised ends over time.

A little patience + the right plan can make a big difference. 🫧

The way this cut and color accentuates her beauty just says it all for me… wow 🌹

Would you believe me if I told you this color correction was done with just a toner? 🥸

Her existing color was feeling a little too ashy for her liking, so I used color theory to bring some warmth back in without making her hair darker.

The gold and red tones help counteract the blue and green tones that can make hair appear overly ashy. By keeping those tones at the same level as her existing hair, I can soften and neutralize that harshness without actually shifting her level lighter or darker.

So she gets to stay at the same depth, just with more warmth, richness, and dimension. 🥰

Just a little reshaping on this cutie pie. 🥹🧡

After years of different colors, cuts, and everything in between, her hair has officially grown back to the length it was when I first met her about five years ago.

How exciting it is to be part of every phase of her hair journey 🥰
