Auditions: Burlesque Performers of coastal Mississippi!

I am looking for confident women of all shapes and sizes to cast in an intimate burlesque experience! This will be an introductory showcase at a fabulous bar in Ocean Springs on November 12th. Out of respect for the bar, I am not naming it until they begin their advertising for said event, but trust me, it’s the perfect backdrop for a burlesque show. Pay and tips included!

At auditions, you will be learning a simple routine in a group setting where you will show off your most beautiful self. No experience required.

Once cast, rehearsal schedules will be set, along with costuming requirements: think retro pinks, peaches, satins, feathers, rhinestones!

So I am here at my very first big con, Dragon Con, and I have had SUCH a fun time so far!

Last night, I decided to enter the Pinups by the Pool Party contest along with about 30 other fabulous folks! We were all chosen by the secret judges to compete, and I was so honored to have been chosen.

My costume, for those unaware, was inspired by Carol Burnett’s iconic “Went With the Wind” sketch from her show, and the reason I chose it is because a funny, confident woman is so bewitching (I’m trying to watch my wording on here because they like to issue me a slap on the wrist for using certain words 🙄🙄🙄🙄)

After the first round, we were narrowed down to about 12-15 contestants, then to 8, 5, 4, 3, and then top two.

Ya girl made it to first runner up, and next to a VERY amazing Sonic the Hedgehog winner, I couldn’t have been happier! As soon as I have more pictures, I’ll be sure to post them here, but here are a few fun ones!

We are headed to tomorrow and we are so excited to be seeing THIS!

I just found these today in PRISTINE shape (still with their Eckerd’s price tag on them, in the bag) and I am so excited! My hair loves water and takes 84 years to dry, so wet sets have never been a thing for me. Do we need to see how these work on long, thick hair?
