Yesterday was our wedding anniversary 🤍 and it had me thinking about how much becoming a bride myself changed the way I care for mine.

Putting a wedding together is a LOT, and even after years of working in the wedding industry, there were parts I never fully understood until it was my turn to wear the veil.

It gave me such a new appreciation for the people you surround yourself with, giving yourself grace, and pacing the day so there’s actually time to enjoy all those little moments you worked so hard for.

And yes, that’s me doing my sister’s makeup on my own wedding day 😂 I did my own + three others that morning. For me, it was grounding. It slowed me down and gave me intentional time with some of my favorite people.

I think that’s why I love being a calming presence for my brides now. Helping you remember the little things, making the morning feel a little easier, and reminding you to soak it all in. 🤍

I’ve been on both sides now. I get it.

I really do love intimate wedding days. I got so much one-on-one time with Tori that morning while everyone she loves was busy bringing the rest of her day together, and it was just SWEET.

She wanted to look like herself, just bridal. Romantic, soft hair + dewy makeup that felt effortless, photographed beautifully and could survive hours in the South MS heat 😂 I think we nailed her “natural but enhanced” vision!!

Wedding mornings like this are so special to me. I love getting to know my brides, taking care of them and getting to be the person by their side for those quiet hours before everything starts happening. 🥺

BABY ALBRITTON is on the way! These two frolicked around in a field, loved on each other and celebrated getting to become MOM + DAD. Just a little time documenting this season of it being the two of them… but not for long. 🥹

There’s something so special about getting to capture a family as it grows, especially when I’ve had the honor of documenting their story before this chapter too.
