Use the acronym BE FAST to assess if someone is experiencing a stroke.
B – Balance: Sudden losses of balance or feelings of dizziness
E – Eyesight: Vision blurring or loss of vision in one or both eyes
F – Face: Drooping in half of the face, uneven smile, or half of the face being numb
A – Arm: one of the arms is numb, weak, or is unable to stay held up
S – Speech: Difficulty forming sentences, slurring words together, or not comprehending other people
T – Time: Time to call emergency services if any of these symptoms appear
When it comes to strokes, being fast to spot symptoms can save lives.

While hand sanitizer can be a useful tool to help prevent getting sick, it doesn’t replace using soap and water. Sanitizer doesn’t remove toxins produced by bacteria, chemicals like pesticides, or heavy metals. Some species such as Norovirus or C. Diff can even survive hand sanitizer.
