I am still amazed by how this sweet space found me exactly when I needed her. I’m equally grateful that she let me know when it was time to let her go.
I opened Seven Alice in Edmond in a single room office space in 2019. In 2020 Covid hit and the whole world changed. February 15, 2021 my son was diagnosed with stage three lymphoma.
March 2, 2021 I went for a walk while my son napped at OU childrens, and I came across this mostly abandoned shopping center in the medical district.
The next day I applied for a PPP and by May we were open for business.
I never had a grand opening party. We just got straight to work.
Seven Alice has existed for 7 years. We’ve been in Culbertson Plaza for just over 5.
So many nights I lied on a hospital cot dreaming of my son being healthy and pulling up to the salon with his friends after practice to ask for money while I worked in my beautiful space on my cool, kind, interesting, clients.
It all came true, many times over in more beautiful ways than I even dreamed.
For the last two years in a row my little salon has been named best hair salon in our zip code.
I’ve had the honor of hosting incredible events and holding space for the most amazing people.
Over the years the shopping center filled up. The kids grew up and the itch started again.
I love my space and the experience Ive been able to offer my clients in it. I’ve learned so much about business, customer service, and myself.
When my lease renewal came up this time I knew it was time to let her go. At least for now.
If Covid and Cancer taught me anything, it’s to let go or get dragged.
It’s only appropriate that I move out on a Capricorn full moon. A time for releasing limiting and outgrown habit’s and beliefs surrounding business.
I’m still doing hair! You can find me at Rain Salon in Nichols Hills. All existing appointments are still on the books.

I’m nervous like I’m going to be the new kid at school, but I’m super excited to let someone else buy the toilet paper & pay the insurance.
I’m fully ready to move into a new chapter with immense gratitude for the last one. Onward & Upward

Sending warm wishes to all of our friends today. We hope everyone is snuggled up with all their most comforting accoutrements.
As the winter weather hits, I’m forced to slow down and reflect upon the amazing community that Seven Alice has acquired. Not only our own incredible clients but our neighbors. Culbertson Plaza has become such a special place over the last few years. Full of women and minority owned business who really care about each other and the city. and all the other amazing people who have created a place where creativity and caring for others exudes from the doors of every building. neighborhood has embraced us and has been so fun to be a part of. We are a small but mighty pocket of OKC that is a true community working to care for each other. We look forward to many more years of community building in this special place 🫶 Stay warm friends! We’ll be back to work as soon as the weather allows.

Starting the year strong with big changes!! We are so excited to add the incredible to our salon! We know all of our guests are going to love her as much as we do 💕
