Over the past few months, I have had the privilege of participating in the Dermalogica Professional Skin Therapist (PST) Challenge. This experience has pushed me to continue growing as an esthetician, connect with other professionals, and reflect on the journey that brought me here.

This past week’s challenge was all about our “why”.. the person, experience, or moment that shaped the path we are on today. As I reflected, I realized my “why” started long before I became an esthetician.

My journey began with my own struggles with body image and confidence. When I discovered makeup as a young girl, I found a pathway to self-expression and began to understand the power of feeling confident in your own skin. That passion led me to skincare, and skincare led me to becoming a Professional Skin Therapist.

This profession has allowed me to continue building confidence in myself while helping others find that same confidence. Watching someone transform in front of me.. not just through healthier skin, but through feeling seen, cared for, and valued.. is why I do what I do.

Esthetics is so much more powerful than skincare and what we see on the outside. It’s about connection, trust, and creating a space where people can take time to care for themselves.

Every client has a story, and I’m incredibly grateful that my career allows me to be a small part of theirs. ❤️
