After much thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from outdoor vendor events for My Serenity Bath & Body.

So much goes into preparing for every event… product planning, display design, packing, and setup. Outdoor events add another layer entirely: weather watching, protecting products from heat, wind, rain, cold, and every surprise in between. That unpredictability can quickly turn a peaceful boutique experience into organized chaos.

My brand has always been about creating a serene experience. “Find your Serenity” should feel calm, welcoming, and restorative… not rushed, weather-worried, or battling the wind while lotions melt and soaps sweat in the sun.

The products themselves will absolutely continue supporting your outdoor adventures:
🌿 Protecting your skin from the elements
🌿 Repairing and restoring after long days outside
🌿 Helping you recover, relax, and unwind

But the shopping experience for My Serenity Bath and Body will focus primarily on indoor events and online shopping, where the atmosphere better reflects the heart of the brand.

There may still be an occasional exception for a beautiful September or October event when the weather feels a little kinder 🍂 but moving forward, indoor spaces are where Serenity belongs.

Been a little while since I shared some behind-the-scenes product making. 🫧

Today’s batch: lotion.

One of the trickiest parts is the coconut oil. It has to be melted before being added to the other ingredients, but temperature matters a lot. Too hot and the lotion can break down and turn thin. Too cool and the coconut oil forms clumps that won’t fully incorporate.

Hit that sweet spot though… and the result is that glossy, fluffy texture with beautiful volume that makes the whole batch feel like whipped silk. ✨

Small batch skincare is part science, part timing, and part intuition.
