HAIRDRESSERS WANTED! Two stations available for rent of $140/week and, possibly a third station or semi-private room. The stations (pictured below) are spacious and include a cabinet in the workroom.
We are a clean, friendly, low drama salon. Best of Clay winner three times and runner up twice. This is a destination salon with very little walk in traffic, but at 328 Milwaukee Avenue in Orange Park we are convenient to residents of Fleming Island, GCS, Middleburg, Oakleaf and Jacksonville's west side. I have been Amanda's hairdresser for seven years. During that time she has done three hair donations for Locks of Love. With the exception of a few face framing pieces she has always worn a blunt cut despite my suggestions of a layered style. You can imagine my surprise when she came in last month and announced that she wanted to try a pixie cut! I think it is the perfect hairstyle for her. It really emphasizes her pretty eyes and strong cheek bones. What do you think?

Anna has beautiful hair which she donates every few years. This was her first time with me. As you can see in the pictures it was a joyous session.

Those of you who follow my page probably recognize Joann. She has been rocking various versions of a pixie cut for ten years. This year we decided to grow it out to a bob just for fun. Today we finally arrived; the top and bangs have finally caught up with the perimeter. I'm hoping she'll grow it down to her shoulders.

I have been doing Sierra's hair since she was a teenager. She recently returned from teaching English in Vietnam for several years. She went crazy with bleach before she left there and the first pictures are the tint back and cut we did in March. As expected the color didn't hold long in the over bleached mid-shafts and ends. Last month at Camp Kateri we did a pixie cut that got rid of most of the damaged hair. This is the shortest haircut she has ever had; I hope she will experiment with variations on the pixie for the rest of the year. What do you think?

Just returned from a weekend in Orlando for the annual Premier Beauty Show. Always learn something! I sure hope long, scraggly hair goes out of style soon. I think long, neatly trimmed hair looks so much better.

We had lots of family visiting last weekend and had a hair c trimming party at the salon. My niece, Samantha White,donated a 17 inch ponytail to Locks of Love.

I have been a Girl Scout Adult Volunteer for 38 years. I teach canoeing and kayaking. I bring my traveling salon kit and do complementary haircuts for other volunteers and their children. This past weekend we had five donations for Locks of Love.
