I never dreamed of being a business owner. In fact, it was never even something I wanted to do.
Hi, I’m Blakley, the owner of Holi Head Spa!
In September 2023, I opened Holi with just one service provider… ME!
What started as an opportunity to learn something new quickly turned into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.
Within our first year, I had opened a second location, grown from just me to 15 employees, and we had served 2,305 clients!
In June 2025, I opened my dream location. Seven treatment beds in a space I got to design from the ground up. Every detail was something I had envisioned in my head and finally got to bring to life.
Today, Holi has two locations, 33 incredible employees, and we’ve had the privilege of serving 11,520 beautiful people!
But what people don’t always see is everything it took to get here. The financial risks, the sleepless nights, the tears, the constant worry that I had taken on more than I could handle. The countless hours creating protocols, figuring out finances, building furniture, moving things, and trying to figure out how to run a business I had never planned on owning. I can’t tell you how many nights I woke up at 3 a.m. with my mind racing with ideas, worries, and everything I needed to get done.
But I’ve learned something about myself along the way: when I decide I’m going to do something, I give it everything I have. Failure has never felt like an option.
And somewhere along the way, something happened that I never expected.
Building this business fulfilled me in ways I never knew I needed.
It gave me purpose, challenged me, pushed me outside my comfort zone, and helped me discover parts of myself I didn’t even know existed.
I absolutely love what we’ve created at Holi. I believe there is healing in touch, and knowing our treatments help people feel cared for, relax, and reset is something I’m incredibly passionate about. Finish in the comments below ⬇️
