A “keratin bond” is NEVER 100% pure native keratin, it is a polymer hot-melt adhesive.
Pure keratin doesn’t melt into a flexible bond, it breaks down.
Any brand that actually has real quality control would know that “100% pure Italian keratin” is just marketing language, not a material description. Either the brand doesn’t know this, which means they have no idea what’s on or in their hair, let alone where it truly comes from - or they think misleading marketing for sales is okay. You be the judge which ones worse 💛

Dear industry, there is no such thing as a “100% pure keratin” fusion bond that functions as a heat-set adhesive.
The country it originated from does not make a difference.
Pure native keratin protein does not soften, flow, and set under the temperatures used for fusion bonds. It denatures and degrades, it chars and becomes brittle rather than forming a durable, flexible bond.
Any bond that melts and re-sets under a heat tool relies on thermoplastic polymers or resins to do that work.
By definition, that means it is not 100% pure native keratin protein.
Keratin may be present as an additive or marketing claim but it is not the material that makes the bond function, and it is NEVER 100% pure native keratin.

Most hair extension brands have no idea what’s in their own box. Some of them are still telling you it’s Slavic.🤣🤣🤣
The majority of hair extension brands do not make their own product. They buy finished products from factories who produce for everyone and resell that hair in their branded packaging. They have no control over anything outside of color, texture and length selection. The only thing they really know about the hair they’re selling is what the factory tells them.
Before we decided to disrupt the industry and create hair extensions, we bought hair from twelve leading brands and paid an independent lab to tell us what was actually in it. All twelve failed at least one of their own claims. We’d bet most of them had no idea.
So we started, we built our own exclusive supply chain. We personally source our hair and process it in operations that run only for our brand. There are no middlemen and no mixing, and we create every single product we sell, from source to sale.
Next time a brand tells you where their hair comes from, ask how they know. We can answer that. What can they provide? A Polaroid and a “trust us”? Strong pass.

Read this before you pay anyone to build your hair brand....

BUYER BEWARE: THE BURN TEST IS NOT PROOF.
We were recently pitched a blonde synthetic “protein fiber,” available in multiple shades. We were told directly it is from China, that it is protein, and that it can burn and smell enough like human hair to pass the informal burn test many buyers still use.
The pitch included this burn-test video for a reason.
Most buyers still check for synthetics by lighting a strand. Typical synthetic fiber does not burn like human hair. This one does.
That is the deception: a field test people trust can now be used to pass off protein fiber as human hair.
It is not human hair and It does not have a cuticle.
The problem is that this is being mixed into hair represented and priced as 100% human hair without disclosure.
