🌸 Soft Girl Era
Your softness is your superpower. 🌸✨
Somewhere along the way, many of us were taught that to succeed, we had to be louder, tougher, and harder. But real strength isn’t always loud.
Sometimes strength looks like choosing kindness.
Sometimes it looks like walking away from chaos.
Sometimes it means protecting your peace, setting healthy boundaries, and continuing to love with an open heart.
Softness isn’t weakness.
It’s confidence without arrogance.
It’s grace without apology.
It’s resilience without losing your compassion.
You can be gentle and powerful.
You can be feminine and fearless.
You can wear soft pink glitter nails and still conquer every goal you set for yourself.
Never let the world convince you that kindness is a flaw or that a gentle heart makes you less than anyone else.
Your softness is your superpower.
Protect it.
Celebrate it.
Let it shine. 🌸💖✨
If these words found you today, I hope they remind you of something you’ve always had… your softness is your superpower. 🌸✨
Some people spend a lifetime searching for the kind of love that feels like home.
You found it early.
Two young hearts choosing each other,
building a home,
sharing dreams,
and quietly creating a life that belongs only to you.
That is extraordinary.
When Sadie sat down at my nail table, she chose soft pink.
To me, pink has always been the color of hope.
Gentle.
Graceful.
Full of possibility.
May these soft pink nails remind you that hope is never loud.
It arrives in whispered prayers,
morning sunshine,
a hand held a little tighter,
and in the promise that every new season brings fresh beginnings.
Love planted the first seed.
The rest will bloom in its perfect time.
Until then,
keep laughing,
keep dreaming,
keep holding each other’s hands.
Because the greatest blessing isn’t found in perfect timing.
It’s finding your person.
And you found yours. 🤍
Congratulations on your beautiful new beginning, Sadie and Cody. May your love continue to grow with every season. 🌸✨
Some mornings stay with you.
This morning, I drove down to the river before work and watched the sunrise dance across the water. The river shimmered like liquid gold, and every gentle ripple caught the light in its own beautiful way.
I didn’t realize it then, but that quiet moment was already designing today’s nails.
A few hours later, my friend Brittany sat at my nail table and said, “You have complete creative control.”
What a gift.
The sparkly Yellow Sorbet glitter became the golden sunrise reflecting across the river. The flowing squiggle lines became the ripples on the water, and I layered green, pink, and gold chrome because nature is always more colorful than we first notice.
One peaceful moment at sunrise became a summer manicure full of movement, light, and joy.
The best inspiration isn’t always a photo. Sometimes it’s waiting for you outside before the world wakes up.
After 40 years of doing nails, I’m still finding new inspiration in the world around me. That’s one of the greatest gifts this career has given me—to slow down, pay attention, and create something beautiful from an ordinary moment.
Nails Done Right
Where every set tells a story. 💛
July is officially my summer nail season, and I’m feeling every bit of it.
Late mornings. Sunshine. Easy days. Beach vibes. That’s exactly what inspired today’s set.
I started with my HEMA-free Universal Ballerina Builder Gel and used my dual forms to encapsulate tiny seashells for a soft ocean-inspired look. Then I added a few crystals, the cutest little starfish and shell accents, and now I can’t wait to finish the rest of my nails today.
Sometimes one nail is all it takes to know you’ve found the design.
Today isn’t about rushing.
It’s about slowing down, creating something that makes me smile, and soaking up everything July has to offer.
Summer… I’m ready for you. ☀️🌊🐚✨
One of my favorite parts of being a nail artist is allowing creativity to lead the way.
Yesterday, I reached for a set of dab gels that had been sitting in my collection for years. I’d never used them before, but something told me yesterday was the day.
Layer by layer, they blended beautifully with chrome, creating the soft golden glow of a sunrise… or maybe a sunset. 🌅✨
When I finished, I asked my guest, “What do you think? Does it look like a sunset?”
She smiled and said,
“No… it looks like a sunrise.”
I loved that answer.
Sometimes the products we’ve had all along are simply waiting for the right moment to shine. Yesterday, those dab gels finally had their chance, and together they created something completely new.
After 40 years behind the nail table, I still get excited to experiment, learn, and discover new possibilities. That’s one of the greatest gifts of this profession—there’s always another idea waiting to come to life.
This is my legacy.
Forty years of hands, hearts, stories, and light.
As I celebrate my 40th year of doing nails, my light is shining brighter than ever.

Finding Your Light in a World of Darkness.
Kristine walked in today with a vision, and I couldn’t have loved it more.
As we celebrate the 250th birthday of American independence, we kept the patriotic season going with another custom red, white, and blue design.
This time, I added a super silver high chrome powder that gives these nails an incredible mirror-like sparkle. Every movement catches the light, making the stars and glitter shine even brighter.
One of my favorite parts of this season has been seeing how each client makes patriotic nails their own. No two sets have been alike, and every appointment has been a celebration of creativity, freedom, and American spirit.
Here’s to a summer filled with sparkle, gratitude, and red, white, and blue. 🇺🇸✨
❤️ Happy 250th Birthday, America!
Some mornings you wake up with an idea.
Not something you saw online.
Not something you copied.
Just… an image that appears in your mind.
That’s exactly what happened with these nails.
Before my first client even arrived, I grabbed my tiny practice tips because I knew Dani has the smallest nail beds. There was no way I could test this design on my usual long demo tips. I needed to see if the idea would work on real-life, tiny nails.
So I made a quick sample.
I sent Dani a video.
Her response?
“Let’s do it!”
That little bit of excitement is one of my favorite parts of this career.
Since she’s headed to one of my favorite places in the world—Maine—these tiny chrome palm trees felt like the perfect vacation nails.
For her rebalance, I chose Universal Builder Gel Clear so the Beach Bum beige would stay soft and bright instead of becoming too opaque.
Then came the fun.
Using the tiniest corner of a makeup sponge, I softly dabbed high-pigment yellow gel.
Next came hot pink right through the center.
As the colors blended together, Dani smiled and said,
“It looks like the sun.”
Exactly.
Then the magic happened.
Aurora Fire Chrome transformed those sunset colors into glowing tropical skies.
I sealed everything with a matte finish first, and honestly… I almost wanted to leave them that way. The soft velvet look against the chrome was stunning.
But Dani wanted glossy.
And glossy brings that chrome to life.
Finally, I finished everything with tiny isolated rose gold chrome palm trees.
I asked,
“Rose gold or turquoise?”
The second she saw the rose gold chrome she smiled.
“I want that.”
The entire appointment—including a complete rebalance and detailed nail art—took an hour and thirty minutes.
People often ask why short nails can take just as long as long nails.
Because every stroke matters.
When someone works with large animals all day like Dani does, her nails have to be beautiful without getting in the way. Precision matters even more on tiny nails.
The older I get, the more I appreciate that these little moments of creativity are truly gifts. I’m grateful I get to share them with the people who trust me with their hands, and together we bring an idea to life. ✨🌴☀️
If you watched Part 1, now you know why Barbie has always been so special to me.
Looking back, I realize she was never just a client.
She was my muse.
She wore long stiletto nails before most people even knew what a stiletto nail was.
She wore encapsulated gel extensions before anyone in town even knew what gel was.
She trusted me to experiment.
She believed in my ideas before they became trends.
After years apart, we finally found our way back to each other.
The moment she sat down, it felt like no time had passed.
We opened every drawer in the salon.
Builder gel.
Dual forms.
Real seashells.
Chrome.
Glitter I hadn’t touched in years.
Every nail became its own little work of art.
For five hours, we did what we’ve always done…
We created.
We laughed.
We inspired each other.
Every few minutes one of us would stop, look at the latest nail, and say…
“WOW!”
Some people become clients.
Some become lifelong friends.
And every once in a while, you find someone who speaks the same creative language you do.
Barbie will always be my nail sister.
