No Bake Just Fake Spray Tanning

There's something about looking at these pictures that makes me feel like no matter what I do, spray, tanning will always be a part of my life. Come January. It may not be my full time position, but my tent will always be up for those of you who want to come in. I am so grateful and sad at the same time that as many of you have said, beautiful things about my business. It just stinks that it can't be a steady flow of people all
the time..
When I look back and I talk to people, I'm very proud of myself. 10 years is a long time, and most businesses that I see don't last that long. So I've done pretty darn good and like I said before, I'm keeping that space just filling it with other projects. But my tanning tent will always be available to put up, or if everything fits right...You know, I come to you. The possibilities are endless.

💔 An announcement I honestly hoped I wouldn't have to make…

I've started writing this post more times than I can count, only to stop myself because a part of me keeps thinking, maybe things will get better. Maybe next month will be different.

But sometimes, as hard as it is to admit, you have to look at things realistically and make the decision that's best for you and your family.

At the end of 2026, No Bake Just Fake will be closing its doors.

First, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of myself for making it almost TEN YEARS in this business. Ten years of meeting amazing people, helping women feel beautiful and confident, being part of special occasions, weddings, dances, vacations, and so many other memories. That's not something I'm going to take lightly, and it's something I'll always be proud of. ❤️

But over the past year and a half, I've watched my clientele slowly dwindle, and I've had to come to terms with the reality of what this industry has become.

Spray tanning has become an incredibly oversaturated market. There are more businesses offering it, more at-home tanning options, and more people buying machines to tan themselves, their friends, or people within their own circles. Some places have partnerships with dance studios and other organizations, and honestly, that's great for them. I've tried to make those kinds of connections myself, but unfortunately, they haven't worked out for me.

Self-tanning products have improved, too, and I understand that for some people, a spray tan is something they only think about when a special occasion comes around.

The hard part is that when this is your full-time job, occasional appointments aren't enough to keep the doors open.

I've spent so much time trying to promote my business, come up with specials, send out texts and emails, collaborate with other businesses, and find new ways to bring people through the door. I've reached out to people and often heard nothing back. I've offered promotions that very few people took advantage of. And I've had moments when I wondered what I was doing wrong or why it seemed like no matter how hard I tried, things weren't changing.

For a long time, I took it personally. I questioned myself and wondered if I wasn't doing enough.

But I've come to realize that I've done everything I know how to do. I've always tried to provide the best service possible, go above and beyond for my clients, and make people feel comfortable and welcome. I've tried to keep my prices reasonable, even as the cost of my solutions has nearly doubled. I've continued showing up and putting in the work.

Sometimes, even when you give something everything you've got, it still isn't enough to sustain it financially. And that doesn't mean you failed.

The truth is, I have rent to pay, supplies to purchase, a family to take care of, and bills that don't stop coming just because business is slow. I can't continue putting more into this business than I'm getting back and hope that things will somehow turn around.

And as hard as it is to write those words, it's okay for me to admit that it's time to step back.

This doesn't mean I'm not sad. It doesn't mean I won't miss it. And it certainly doesn't mean these past ten years haven't meant the world to me.

I've made some truly genuine friendships through this business, and that's something I'll always be grateful for. So many of you have supported me, trusted me, referred your friends, and continued to come back over the years. You have no idea how much that has meant to me. ❤️

To those of you who have supported No Bake Just Fake, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me keep this business going for nearly a decade. You have been a part of this journey, and I will never forget that.

We aren't closing just yet! I will continue taking appointments through December 31, 2026, and I truly hope you'll continue to book with me between now and then. This is still my full-time job, and I still have a few months of bills to cover while I figure out what comes next.

I know some people may be surprised by this announcement, and honestly, I wish things were different. I had hoped I wouldn't have to make this decision. But I also know that sometimes God closes one door because there's another path we need to take, even when we're not quite sure what that path looks like yet.

As I look toward 2027, I'm excited to put more of my time and energy into my candles, Sacred Flame Candle Co., Sacred Tallow, and whatever other opportunities God places in front of me. I don't have every detail figured out, but I'm choosing to believe that this next chapter can bring new opportunities, a little more peace, and something sustainable for my family.

Almost ten years. So many memories. So many lessons. So many wonderful people.

I'm proud of what I've built, grateful for everyone who has been part of it, and giving myself permission to move forward without feeling like I have to keep fighting a battle that isn't working anymore.

Thank you for ten incredible years of No Bake Just Fake. You helped make this chapter of my life what it was, and that will always mean something to me. ❤️

✨ A Little Schedule Shuffle! 💜

As life and schedules change, so does business! I've noticed that evenings have become my busiest times for tanning, while daytime appointments have slowed down. So, I'm making a few adjustments that work better for my clients while allowing me a little more flexibility for homeschooling, family time, and my other creative projects. 🕯️✨

Here's my new schedule:

💜 Monday–Thursday: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
☀️ Friday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
🚪 Saturday: Closed
✨ Sunday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

I've decided to close Saturdays since weekend appointments have been pretty quiet lately, and I'd love to have some dedicated family time on the calendar. ❤️

And because I've already been sneaking in Sunday appointments, I figured why not make it official? A little Sunday evening glow might be just what some of you need! 😉

As always, I'm a pretty flexible person and will do my best to accommodate those who need an appointment outside my regular hours whenever possible. Sometimes you just have to roll with the changes, find your rhythm, and make things work for everyone.
