Sometimes you have unexpected good days and yesterday was one for us thanks to the awesome and talented Christina Stengel. She stopped by to give us this painting of the Soap and Roastery storefronts in Paris, and for that brief moment I knew exactly how Michael Scott felt in The Office upon seeing Pam's painting of the Dunder Mifflin building. I am still blown away that she did this for us and so grateful for the gift. Thank you, Christina. You've made our week.

They're BACK! Post-Shave Balms and Beard & Preshave oils are now back in stock! The Post-Shave Balms have all been remade and are back to their normal thickness. They are easy to apply and are a great end to your post-shave care routine to provide both repair and moisture.
You spoke and we listened on our Beard & Preshave Oils. The two most common comments that we got on our oils was that they needed to have a dropper top and that they didn't need to contain a preservative. We've reformulated to remove the preservative and soy lecithin. We've also made a serious upgrade to the packaging to include a thick, green glass bottle with dropper top as well as a outer tube for added protection.

UPDATE: The website and emails are back online! Phew! DNS propagation has come so far over the years. That was much faster than I expected. Back to the festivities! 😁

SERVICE INTERRUPTION: I, Mandy, decided THIS would be the perfect weekend to do some website modifications. (I know...genius)🤦‍♀️Some of you might notice our website is down while others can access everything perfectly. This should resolve in a few hours if you're having trouble viewing the website.
As a result of these modifications, our email will be somewhat down over the next 48-72 hours or so. Please send all emails to [email protected] if you need assistance and we will get back to you during normal business hours. Everything else will likely be sent into the abyss.
Also, we have given our team (Shipping and Production) the day off to observe the 4th of July. Our storefront will reopen Monday, July 6th at 8:30am.

If you haven't seen the Blizzard Battles being put on by Bary Bedford of the "A Texan Shaves" channel, our entry went up today.

Our entry is called "The Shivering" and is a play on the iconic frozen Jack Nicholson meme from The Shining (done in a sheep tallow base). There's a good chance we're going to do a short run of it in soap and aftershave, as we've already gotten a ton of requests.

It's the coldest soap we've ever done. It has 50% more menthol than our already frigid Glacial lineup. I don't know that we could have forced any more menthol into it without breaking down the lather.

If you haven't heard, the United States is getting ready to celebrate 250 years as a nation! What better time for us to bring back a classic scent than right now? After a few years in the vault, Ben Franklin makes his triumphant return to the lineup at Stirling Soap!

The scent description has become a part of Stirling lore and has required us to put a disclaimer that it doesn't actually smell like an old man's pantaloons! (Yes, seriously)

Here's the actual scent description: Made with Benzoin (Ben), Frankincense (Franklin), Clove, and Nutmeg essential oils. This soap smells like an older gentleman’s pantaloons at the end of a hot July day in Philadelphia, drafting important documents with no air conditioner. It’s actually a very unique scent that reminded us of a root beer float. An instant favorite!

When the day comes that my stress level simply can't take it any more and we do like everyone else and just outsource customer service to a call center in a foreign country, it will be folks like this who lead the push. (This kind gentleman sent his original email at 520 PM CST Saturday evening. That's how you know it was super important).

I get these almost every Monday. Friday evening when I leave work, that's it for answering emails until Monday morning most weekends (although Mandy will tell you it don't always stick to that rule). That's my time with my wife and my three sons, and my time to rest and take care of things around the farm. It's just me answering customer service emails. The same guy that's been doing it like a complete moron since 2012. If your soap or aftershave issue is a dire emergency, you might call 911, or just get your grooming items from Amazon. They have AI as well as infinite call center operators standing by to make sure your weekend email gets the care it deserves.

West Indies Lime is another underrated scents. It's an amazing blend of West Indies lime, bergamot, lemon, and vetiver with a hint of musk to round it out. A beautiful citrus scent.

"Well what's this scent smell like?"

"IT'S NOT PINK!" Light-ish Red is a bright, woodsy fragrance for men. It has notes of fir, lemon, orange, cardamom, petitgrain, and sea at the top. Rosemary, lily of the valley, jasmine, rose, and sage in the middle. The base is composed of musk, vetiver, oakmoss, rosewood, and sandalwood. Inspired by Abercrombie Fierce.
