It feels so good to cool down 🥵🙌
I skipped a step on purpose, here’s why 👇
The Root smudge….Or the root melt if you prefer
This blonde didn’t get one. Just intentional foiling.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I still glossed/toned her hair and treated it. Toner helps refine the color, and the treatment helps stop oxidation and seals the cuticle so your blonde stays prettier longer.
The difference is I didn’t add anything extra on autopilot. I look at your hair, your lifestyle, and what will actually hold up best between appointments.
I use root smudges all the time. They’re one of my favorite tools…When your hair actually needs one.
I don’t believe in adding steps just because they’re trendy or because “that’s how it’s always done.”
When you sit in my chair, I’m thinking about your hair, your maintenance, and your grow-out six, eight, ten weeks from now.
Sometimes that means adding a step.
Sometimes it means skipping one.
Every appointment is fully customized to you and your lifestyle 🫶
been told “no” about your hair? read this before you give up. 👇
If your hair has years of box dye, henna, or other difficult-to-remove color, going blonde in one appointment (or at all) may not be realistic. But that doesn’t mean you’re banned from coloring your hair.
In fact, a beautiful brunette, dimensional color, or another realistic goal is often very achievable. Get yourself a hair girl who’s going to be honest with you about what’s possible, not just tell you what you want to hear. 😉
The most important step is being honest about your hair history so I can choose the safest, most effective approach. Sometimes that means detoxing or removing minerals and buildup first. Other times it means adjusting the end goal to keep your hair healthy and beautiful.
Every head of hair is different, but with the right plan, realistic expectations, and a focus on hair integrity, there’s almost always a path forward.
Color correction isn’t about miracles, it’s about honesty and making the best decisions for your hair.
“Are weekends coming back?”
I’ve been getting that question a lot lately—and the answer is yes 😊
Now that I’m settled in at Roko, I’ve decided to open my schedule back up on Saturdays & Sundays.
I know weekdays don’t work for everyone, and I don’t want a busy schedule to be the reason you put off taking care of yourself (or your hair 😉).
So if weekends fit your life a little better…I’ve got you.
Weekend appointments are officially back, and I’m looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones too!
And yes, I promise I will be announcing summer plans soon ✈️🌴
If you’ve stayed tuned this long 🫶 I appreciate you.
Just some good hair to brighten up your feed 🥰💋
