When I first started BANISH, I really had no idea if I was doing anything right.
I was just someone who had grown up with with severe acne and acne scars and knew how much it could affect the way you saw yourself. I knew what it was like to look at everyone else's skin and wonder why mine couldn't just be normal. To feel like people noticed my skin before they noticed me.
Starting a skincare business feeling that way made me triple guess myself.
Who was I to create something like this? Would anyone actually care?
But I knew the products worked for me after dozens that didn't.
And I knew what I wanted my company to feel like to others.
I wanted to create the kind of community I wish I had when I was struggling with my own skin.
A place where you didn't have to hide your acne or scars.
Where nobody expected you to have perfect skin.
Where you could talk about what you were going through without feeling embarrassed or judged.
When I knew what I created was making an impact, it was when I first heard from a customer.
That meant more to me than I knew how to explain.
It's strange to think that something I spent so many years wishing I could hide became the reason I started all of this.
I'm still figuring things out, but the part I've never questioned is why I started.

Research shows that lower-friction needles can enter tissue with less force and cause less surrounding damage.
