On World Sickle Cell Awareness Day, we raise awareness, advocate for equitable care and honor the strength of those living with this inherited blood disorder.

Hope is growing as new advancements in gene therapy are creating potentially curative treatment options for eligible patients, bringing us closer to a future without sickle cell disease.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated honors Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, as an historic moment in American history.

On June 19, 1865, news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally reached the last enslaved individuals in Galveston, Texas, marking the true beginning of freedom for all.

We proudly recognize the efforts of our own trailblazing Soror, Opal Lee, the "Grandmother of Juneteenth," whose unwavering advocacy helped make Juneteenth a federally recognized holiday in 2021.

Today, we celebrate emancipation, reflect on our ancestors' strength and resilience, and recommit to the work of advancing justice, equity, and unity. Through education, action, and solidarity, we move closer to a world rooted in true freedom for all.
