Teddy Bear Bronde. We started off by cutting a few inches off to make it collar bone length. For the color we we a partial teasy light horizontal foil pattern with three foils at the money piece. Processed to yellow, root smudge with 3A and 6BV, toned with 7PA and 7N equal parts beautiful dimensional brunette when she started out dark deep brown.

Loved this transformation. It started out that she knew she wanted the haircut. She had a long grown out pixie, but the shape was all wrong. She mentioned possible highlights and I explained her natural color was stunning but maybe she just needed a sassy haircut. And boom. We were right. A nice little bixie haircut. (Bob +Pixie). My favs. She was/is very happy with our it turned out and now she can rock a stunning new look with that awesome shirt she is wearing.

September is actually a common time for seasonal hair shedding. Our hair naturally moves through different growth and resting phases, and late summer into early fall can bring an increase in shedding.

Typically, losing around 50–100 hairs a day is considered normal — but here’s something important: shedding and breakage are NOT the same thing.

✨ SHEDDING happens when the entire strand releases naturally from the scalp. You’ll usually see a full-length hair, sometimes with a tiny club-shaped bulb at one end.

✂️ BREAKAGE happens when the hair snaps somewhere along the strand. You may notice shorter pieces, frayed ends, or lots of different-length hairs. Breakage can be related to dryness, heat, chemical services, tension, or other damage to the hair fiber.

So if you’re seeing more full-length strands right now, it may simply be seasonal shedding. If you’re seeing lots of short, broken pieces, that’s something completely different — and we want to figure out what’s stressing the hair.

And if shedding feels excessive, continues for several months, or you notice visible thinning, bald patches, or scalp changes, I always recommend checking in with a dermatologist or healthcare provider. 🤍
