Forgive the irony but - this HURTS. It does. A remarkable season ending 4 points short of what we all hoped for. Winning a Super Bowl is HARD. This one stings even more because the Birds were the favorites this time and not the underdogs. And because we know from history that we NEVER know when they might make it back. In the past 5 years we’ve now experienced both - the ultimate thrill of victory and the devastating agony of defeat. It’s that pull on our emotions that makes sports so great. I just wanted to take this moment to say how PROUD we should all be of this team. A young coach. A young quarterback. Who matured right in front of our eyes. Incredible leaders whose larger than life personalities were as big as their presence on the field. A team that brought the city together. And gave us 2 weeks of Go Birds greetings and waves, smiles and kindness, spirit and joy, painting the town green with excitement and uniting us all. This team has a wonderful foundation. They’ll be back. And when they are, they’ll be able to build on this feeling, and this HURT will in the end, HELP. So Eagles, THANK YOU. The 2022/2023 season, is one we will never forget 💚
