The Zamzam Well is a sacred well located inside Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, and it holds great importance in Islam because Allah caused it to miraculously spring forth to save Hajar and her son Ismail when they were left in the desert by Prophet Ibrahim; according to Islamic belief, the water appeared when Angel Jibril struck the ground, and it has flowed continuously ever since.
