Please clients respect our time Mrs.Lorraine @ islandDesignSalon time is something you cannot get back when you book your appointment. Please write it down. Please send your phone Notification. We do the same. We send you notifications 24 hours before your appointment sometime you look at it sometimes you forget it, but remember we’re operating a service business. So if u don’t show up there’s a fee of $75. $50 goes to ur stylist and $25 is ur rebooking fee it goes towards your service.

Story time with Dr. Harmon 👩🏽‍⚕️🩺 A 15-year-old came in with scalp tenderness after having braids wrapped tightly around the head for about two months. She's also a type 1 diabetic, which matters here. I pressed a little deeper on her scalp and it felt like there was fluid underneath. When I lifted the edge of the braid, the skin was literally separating from her scalp pus, infection, the whole thing. The braids had been too tight for too long, it turned into folliculitis, then a full abscess that cut off blood flow to that section of skin. We got her straight to the operating room, removed the dead scalp tissue, and let it heal naturally before bringing in a plastic surgeon to help it close. Months later, she has her scalp and her hair back.
