Why is this?
If you have sensitive ears, try to stick with implant-grade titanium. Real 14k or 18k gold can also be a great option, but solid gold is painfully expensive. Even jewelry labeled “hypoallergenic” or “surgical steel” can contain nickel or other metals that cause reactions. Implant-grade titanium looks just like real gold or platinum, nickel-free and incredibly well tolerated without the solid gold price tag.
