I came across a comment on a post about thinning hair recently that stopped me in my tracks.

“I miss the shampoo 😭”

Women were talking about why they stopped going to the salon. They were shamed, offered extensions over and over, and made to feel just awful about the state of their thinning hair.

I’ve heard so many stories similar to this behind the chair from women who avoid the salon because they’re afraid someone else will point out how thin their hair is, make suggestions before asking any questions, or make them feel embarrassed about something they’re already struggling with…IN A PLACE THEY GO TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT THEMSELVES.
