With the cost of Assisted Living in the US rising rapidly, offshore Assisted Living is becoming a viable alternative for American families. We have found assisted living facilities in Thailand and the Dominican Republic offering monthly rates at $1200/month for 24/7 care compared to $3000/month for comparable care in the US. Below we interview Peter Brown, executive director of Care Resort, an assisted living facility in Chaing Mai, Thailand, which is growing rapidly, primarily with Americans.
