We are excited to welcome Karina to Body Ache Escape! Karina has been a licensed massage therapist since early 2026, but her interest in Body Ache Escape started before she ever joined the team.

In fact, she wanted to work here right away. We weren’t hiring at the time, so she gained experience elsewhere, but when she saw an opening at Body Ache Escape, she jumped at the chance. As a Pickerington resident, she was especially excited to serve clients right here in her own community.

Karina’s pressure is on the lighter side, but don’t mistake that for ineffective. Her work is calming, intentional, and deeply thoughtful. She understands that sometimes the body needs relief without being forced into it.

Before becoming a massage therapist, Karina studied psychology. Over time, she realized she could support people’s mental and emotional well-being in a more hands-on way, by helping them feel safer, more relaxed, and more comfortable in their own bodies.

When she’s not massaging, Karina is spending time with her six-year-old daughter, who keeps life busy, sweet, and probably a little unpredictable.

If you’re looking for a massage that feels gentle, grounding, and restorative, Karina may be the perfect fit.

Intro Offer: Save $20 on your first 60-minute massage with Karina. Offer expires June 14.

Guess who’s back? Osh is back! 🇺🇸

After being away for military training, Osh will officially be back at Body Ache Escape starting May 28th, and we could not be prouder of him.

Osh is one of those people who shows up fully, whether he’s serving his country, working with clients, or bringing that steady, focused energy into the treatment room. We are grateful for his commitment, proud of the work he’s doing, and very happy to have him back on the schedule.

Starting May 28th, Osh will be available:

Tuesday at 1pm
Thursday at 1pm
Sundays 1-5pm

He is also credentialed to provide VA massage, which is a big deal. If you are a veteran who has had a hard time finding an open VA massage appointment, Osh being back means we now have a few more spots available.

Please help us welcome him back and show him some love. He has earned it. 💙

Welcome back, Osh!

Meet Meagan. 💆‍♀️

Meagan has been a massage therapist for 7 years and brings a great mix of experience, skill, and genuine care to her sessions. She has worked in places like The NOW and Hand & Stone and is trained in TMJ work, myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, burn scar therapy, and she loves adding a little stretching into her sessions whenever it makes sense.

One thing Meagan is especially proud of is how well she listens to her clients’ needs. She really cares about giving people the kind of massage that feels right for their body, not just giving everyone the same routine. Her pressure is best described as medium, and she strongly believes that deep tissue does not automatically mean deep pressure. For her, great massage is about skill, intention, and results.

She also has a friendly, talkative personality that helps clients feel comfortable and at ease. And when she’s not at work, she’s busy keeping up with her 3 sons. So yes, life stays moving. 🙂

To help welcome Meagan to Body Ache Escape, we’re offering $20 off your first one hour or longer massage with her through May 31.

A couple important details:
This special is valid for appointments scheduled on Mondays or Wednesdays only. She does also work some Saturdays, but Saturday appointments are not included in this promotion. Cannot be combined with any other discounts.

Message us or book online before May 31 to grab a spot.

A guy came in the other day. Not a real guy, but honestly he might as well be because we see versions of him all the time.

Let’s call him Tom.

Tom didn’t book because he wanted to “treat himself.” He booked because his body was starting to get weird.

Not dramatic enough for the ER. Not bad enough that he felt justified complaining.
Just enough that everything was harder than it should be.

His neck was tight.
He had a headache that kept hovering.
His upper back felt like a brick.
And he’d reached that point where even relaxing at night wasn’t relaxing because his body never really unclenched.

So he came in.

And what’s interesting is that sometimes people think massage is just rubbing sore muscles. It’s not. A good massage helps turn the volume down on a body that’s been stuck in tension for way too long.

By the end, Tom wasn’t floating out of here speaking in poetry. He just looked relieved. His jaw wasn’t clenched. His shoulders had dropped. He could turn his head without doing that whole rotate-your-entire-torso thing.

That matters.
Because when your body feels better, everything feels a little more manageable.
You think clearer. You sleep better. You’re less irritable.
You stop feeling like your own skeleton is being rude to you.

That’s the kind of thing massage can do.

We’ve got openings if your body has been acting up and you’re tired of pretending it’s fine.
