Tim The Barber
Barber services in Plum Boro, PA I retired from the US Navy after 21 years of service and I was cutting hair the entire time I was in the Navy.
After Naval retirement, I attended the Barber School of Pittsburgh to get my PA Barbers License and continue to do what I love.
It was a busy schedule for 6 hair professionals.
I want to thank:
Amy, Anna, Amber, Tia and Tambri for their time, professionalism, skills and having fun with the kids!
I believe the total number of haircuts given out we 54! That's AMAZING!!
We started at 3:30 (the event was supposed to start at 4, but we started early because we had 8 people already signed in) and by 5:30, we worked our way through the crowd - we only cut maybe 5 additional heads between 5:30 & 7.
Lisa, Melissa, Karen and Kate were on hand to hand out about 100 backpacks and miscellaneous school supplies out throughout the day.
Shanna and Paytn were slinging out pizza slices - 30+ pizzas and drinks were given out.
Our local DJ, Justin, was on the music and mic all day keeping us in line and on schedule.
Thanks to Stephanie Scotti Photography for coming in and shooting pictures all day!
We had the amazing Plum students from the Air Force ROTC come in to assist with set up, tear down, registration, and sweeping up ALL THAT HAIR; they are a great group of kids!
Lastly, but definitely not the least important, if it wasn't for Morgan and the wonderful volunteers from Unity VFD, this event would have never happened. If you don't have a location to host, you don't have an event!
Most importantly, the community! Oh my, the community!!!! We put a registry out there and it was completely purchased in 48hrs. The amount of additional school supplies and monetary donations that rolled in was completely overwhelming to me. I can not express the appreciation of the community that rolled in as deep and as fast as it did, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
It was a GREAT Day, Thanks for making it happen!!!
***Due to having a child in my chair the entire time, I did not get any pictures of the day. If you have a few you want to share, please post them in the comments.***
Today is the day all!
As seen on WTAE this morning.
Bring the kids out for some school supplies and or a haircut.
Thank you to Lelulo's Pizzeria, Justin S Newman and Unity VFD for working on this with me.
It takes a village to be able to pull something like this off and we couldn't have done it with out the support of the community donating everything they have! Yinz are the true rock stars!
See you this afternoon/evening!!!
AT&T has completely screwed up my ability to use my phone since Thursday and I don't know when it will be fixed.
If you are trying to get a hold of me, please use messenger text me through the appointment booking app to do so. I will check it when I have wi-fi available.
Have a wonderful day!!
Thank you for understanding,
Tim

These Veterans have some great stories and their appreciation run deep! I have a few that grow their hair for a few months on purpose just to come see me and I can't let them down!
Thank you all for the continued support you have given me over the few years I have been in Plum, it means the world to me!
If you have a service you provide, if you haven't done it, consider paying it forward and helping people in need. If you have paid it forward, continue the journey and Thank You!
