Underdogz

🎄 ANOTHER BUSINESS JUST JUMPED ON THE CHRISTMAS TRAIN! 🎄
We’re excited to welcome Funky Funnel to Underdogz: Christmas for the Underdogz! ❤️🎅
Funky Funnel is a weather-dependent operation, but if the weather cooperates, they’ll be joining us and generously donating a portion of their earnings to the cause.
Every business that steps up helps us make this day a little more special and gives us another opportunity to help people in our community this Christmas.
Thank you, Funky Funnel, for jumping on board and supporting Christmas for the Underdogz! 🎄❤️

🎄❤️ ANOTHER AMAZING PERSON JUST JOINED CHRISTMAS FOR THE UNDERDOGZ! ❤️🎄
We’re excited to welcome Maddox Kunkle to this special day!
Maddox will be singing Christmas songs by the fire, helping bring that warm, old-fashioned Christmas feeling to the event. 🔥🎶🎅
He’ll be performing for tips, and even more special—Maddox has chosen to donate a portion of what he earns back to Christmas for the Underdogz.
That’s what this day is all about. People coming together, sharing what they can, and doing something good for others in our community.
Maddox, thank you for stepping up and being part of this with us. We’re lucky to have you! ❤️
🎄 Christmas for the Underdogz More announcements coming soon… this thing is starting to become something really special.

🎄🌭 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT — CHRISTMAS FOR THE UNDERDOGZ IS TAKING SHAPE! 🌭🎄
We want to start by saying this is STILL VERY EARLY in the planning stages. There are a lot of details to work out, things may change, and we're learning as we go.
But...
IT LOOKS LIKE CHRISTMAS FOR THE UNDERDOGZ IS GOING TO HAPPEN. ❤️
📅 Saturday, November 28, 2026 ⏰ 12 PM–5 PM 📍 Charlie’s Hideout Putt & Hit — the former Charlie’s Ballgame in Unity Township
And we couldn't be more excited about where this is happening.
Many people around Westmoreland County remember Charlie’s Ballgame, the miniature-golf and batting-cage complex along Route 30.
After closing in the early 2000s and sitting quiet for roughly 25 years, this piece of local history is being brought back to life as Charlie’s Hideout Putt & Hit.
The new owners are working to restore the property, including its 36 holes of miniature golf and batting cages, with plans to give a whole new generation the chance to make memories there.
And they've graciously offered to let Christmas for the Underdogz call Charlie’s home. ❤️
⚠️ The miniature golf WILL NOT be open during our event because the property is still undergoing renovations.
But you'll have an opportunity to get a FIRST LOOK at the future Charlie’s Hideout Putt & Hit while helping us do something pretty awesome for our community.
🎄 SO WHAT EXACTLY IS CHRISTMAS FOR THE UNDERDOGZ?
That's the part we're still building.
The idea is simple:
Bring our community together, have some fun, raise as much as we possibly can, and then turn that generosity into Christmas blessings for people throughout our area.
And we don't want the giving to stop when the event ends.
❤️ NOVEMBER 28 IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
During the two weeks leading up to Christmas, we plan to ask people to privately inbox Underdogz with information about local families and individuals who could use a little help this Christmas.
We'll privately contact selected people and arrange a meetup to deliver a Christmas blessing.
And don't be surprised if the guy delivering it happens to be wearing a big red suit. 🎅😂
During Christmas week, we'd also like to take Santa out into the community and randomly surprise people at grocery stores and gas stations.
Maybe we pay for someone's groceries.
Maybe Santa walks up while they're pumping gas and hands them a gas card.
Maybe someone simply happens to be in the right place at the right time.
No contest. No likes required. No popularity contest.
Just people helping people.
And these blessings aren't limited to children or families.
They're for EVERYONE.
Young or old. Single or married. Parents, grandparents, workers, neighbors or complete strangers.
Because Lord knows...
we could ALL use a little grace this holiday season. ❤️
🎁 HERE'S WHERE WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY.
We're currently looking for donations of:
🎁 Toys & gifts
⛽ Gas cards
🛒 Grocery cards
🎄 Holiday gift cards
🧺 Gift baskets
💵 Monetary donations to help support the cause
We're also looking for VOLUNTEERS.
The event runs 12–5 PM, but setup will most likely begin around 8 AM.
🚚 WE'RE ALSO LOOKING FOR A FEW FOOD TRUCKS!
We don't want 20 trucks lined up competing with one another. We're looking for a small group of great local food trucks that want to be part of what we're trying to accomplish.
We'd also love to have:
🥤 A drink vendor 🍪 A dessert vendor
Food and drink vendors would operate normally and sell their products during the event. In return, we're asking participating vendors to donate a portion of their food sales from the event back to Christmas for the Underdogz.
We're not looking to make this about vendor fees.
We're looking for businesses that want to help us make a difference.
Interested food trucks, dessert businesses and drink vendors — please message Underdogz.
🎥 WE NEED SOME CREATIVE PEOPLE TOO!
We're looking for people willing to donate their time or talents with:
📸 Photography
🎥 Professional video
🚁 Drone footage
📱 Social-media content
We want to document this journey — from November 28 all the way through the Christmas surprises — so people can actually SEE what their donations and this community made possible.
And November 28 isn't going to be all serious either...
This is Underdogz.
WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME FUN. 😂🌭
We're working on:
🌭 Swing Your Sausage 🏆 A Hot Dog Eating Contest 🎯 Games 🎁 Prizes 🎄 Christmas activities 🎅 And perhaps a special appearance from the big guy himself...
And MUCH more as we figure everything out.
Again, THIS IS AN EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT.
We don't have every answer yet.
We're putting the pieces together one at a time, and some details will change as November gets closer.
But Charlie’s has stepped up.
Underdogz is ready to work.
And now we're asking Westmoreland County to help us see just how big we can make this.
Charlie’s is getting a second chance.
This Christmas, maybe together we can give somebody else one too. ❤️
🌭🎄 CHRISTMAS FOR THE UNDERDOGZ 2026 🎄🌭

🎄🌭 WHAT IF BUYING A HOT DOG COULD HELP GIVE A LOCAL FAMILY A BETTER CHRISTMAS? ❤️
That's exactly what we're trying to do.
This year, Underdogz wants to start something bigger than food.
Something bigger than us.
Something we hope becomes a tradition in our community for years to come.
🎄 CHRISTMAS FOR THE UNDERDOGZ 🎄
📅 Saturday, November 28
⏰ 12–5 PM
📍 Location coming soon
Here's the idea:
Come out.
Eat some amazing food.
Have some fun.
And help us take care of some local families this Christmas.
🌭 EVERY MEAL SOLD HELPS.
A portion of our sales from the event will go directly toward building Christmas Family Baskets for local families who could use a hand this holiday season.
And we're not talking about just toys.
We're talking about things that can make a REAL difference:
⛽ Gas cards to help somebody get to work.
🛒 Grocery and store gift cards to put food on the table.
🎁 Christmas gifts for kids, teenagers AND adults.
🏠 Family essentials that might take a little pressure off.
❤️ And hopefully a reminder that their community hasn't forgotten about them.
We're also asking local businesses and individuals who want to make an even bigger impact to partner with us.
🎁 $50 — Basket Supporter
🎄 $100 — Holiday Helper
❤️ $250 — Family Sponsor
⭐ $500 — Christmas Champion
Businesses can also donate gas cards, grocery cards, store gift cards, products, services or other items that could help us build these baskets.
Donation & sponsorship deadline: November 15.
Here's why this one means something to me.
I remember holidays as a kid when we didn't have much. My parents did the best they could to put Christmas together, and I didn't get much, but I was happy to receive a few toys and essentials, as well as enjoy a warm dinner with family.
Sometimes being the underdog means you're fighting a battle nobody else can see.
And sometimes one person showing you that somebody is in your corner can mean everything.
That's what I want this event to be.
Not charity for a photo.
Not something we do once and forget about.
I want Christmas for the Underdogz to become something this community owns together.
Imagine what happens if 10 businesses help.
Then 20.
Then hundreds of people show up November 28 and eat some hot dogs.
Suddenly a crazy idea from a little hot dog trailer turns into gas in somebody's car, groceries in somebody's kitchen and presents under somebody's tree.
THAT'S THE GOAL. ❤️
So I'm asking for your help.
