Denim jackets are my security blanket. I must have 20. Blue, white, and brown ones. If there was a sleeveless dress involved, you could guarantee I’d be carrying one. I was dressing to hide. Not anymore! At 53, I finally realized no one cares about my arms, except me ☀️

Watching my daughter move through the world so comfortably as herself made me realize how much my Gen X thought process was influenced by societal pressures. Thank goodness it didn’t get passed down! ♥️♥️

Midlife isn’t a crisis, it’s a becoming. But a little warning would have been nice! 😊
Midlife sneaks up on you & suddenly you’re at the end of it! Finding my style that fits this phase of life has been a struggle. But I’m on the upside of it now! Sharing what has helped! Comment MIX for my outfit links!

Midlife has a way of exposing the things you used to get praised for. Being easygoing. Always stepping in. Always saying yes. Not rocking the boat. But that version of you wasn’t really you. Saying how you feel and think doesn’t always make you more likable. But it does make your life feel like it’s finally yours again.
