8 years in PMU has taught me more than just how to tattoo beautiful brows…

It’s taught me my worth.

You’re not just paying for ink. You’re paying for 8 years of experience, thousands of clients, countless hours of education, mistakes I’ve already made, and the confidence to know what works—and what doesn’t.

I’ve learned there isn’t one “right” way to tattoo. Every artist develops techniques that fit their style, and every client deserves an approach that’s customized to their skin, features, and goals. Permanent makeup is never one-size-fits-all.

I’ve also learned that having a big team or multiple locations doesn’t automatically make someone a better artist. Great work comes from skill, consistency, and experience—not headcount.

One thing I tell every new artist: Master one technique before chasing the next. In this industry, especially when you’re working on someone’s face, nobody wants a jack of all trades and a master of none.

But the biggest surprise?

The relationships.

I knew I’d love creating beautiful results, but I never expected to love the conversations just as much. I’ve laughed, cried, celebrated milestones, and walked through hard seasons with so many of my clients. What starts as a brow appointment often turns into a genuine connection, and that’s the part of this career I’ll never take for granted.
