Those and many others could play significant role in starving those stem cells…

I add organic flaxseeds to my yogurt every morning or sometimes I add flax seed oil (cold pressed, organic) to cottage cheese or salad dressing.

What if one of the most powerful foods for emotional well-being is sitting in your pantry?

Flaxseed has long been valued for its omega-3 fats, fiber, and phytoestrogenic lignans. Now researchers are exploring another possibility: its connection to the oxytocin signaling pathway.

Oxytocin is often called the "love hormone," but its effects extend far beyond social bonding. It influences stress regulation, emotional resilience, and feelings of safety and connection.

In a recent molecular network analysis, flaxseed appeared to influence genes involved in oxytocin signaling and calcium-dependent communication pathways linked to anxiety regulation.

While more research is needed, I find these findings especially compelling because they reinforce a theme I've seen throughout nutrition science: Food doesn't simply nourish tissues. It shapes communication networks throughout the body.

From hormones to neurotransmitters to immune signaling, every meal is part of an ongoing conversation with our biology.

Perhaps one more reason to sprinkle a tablespoon of freshly ground flaxseed into your day. 🌱✨

Here is a quick implementation of the Budwig protocol when you're in a hurry: sprouted bread toast with avocado, drizzled with organic cold-pressed unrefined flaxseed oil and old Russian farm cheese (Budwig uses cottage cheese in her theory for cellular oxygenation and blends oil and cheese ), spices, scrambled egg with broccoli sprouts, drizzled with Gochugaru chili oil. It was delicious!
