Raise your hand if you ever looked at a product and bought it because it said “Acne-Safe”, “won’t clog pores”, or “Non-Comedogenic” 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

I know that’s what I used to do before becoming an esthetician and learning more about product formulations.

The shortened, less nerdy answer to this question is NO!

Over the counter products are not harshly regulated by the FDA and they have no list or explanation as to what ingredients should be excluded from a skincare product to be labeled as “non-comedogenic”.... which unfortunately means that some of these ingredients could be clogging your pores and increasing the risk of breakouts from forming.

This is why it’s best practice if you are acne-prone to be on a professional grade regimen or Esthetician approved products that will reduce the risk of your products being the culprit of your breakouts!

The truth is....

I haven’t been taking my health seriously these last few months. I was overworking myself, not listening to my body or fueling it with what it really needs to function optimally every day. I made a commitment to myself the beginning of June to get back to the business of my overall health and wellness!

I believe everything starts from within.
