Every child is unique—down to their DNA 🧬
Your genes play a role in cognition, stress response, nutrient metabolism, inflammation, and more. Understanding those differences means we can build a care plan that's actually built for your child—not a one-size-fits-all approach.
We're proud to offer IntellxxDNA™, an advanced genomics tool that helps us find root-cause factors behind chronic health issues, including autism spectrum disorder.

These words were spoken decades ago, and they still ring true today.
This Minority Mental Health Month, we're reflecting on what it means to provide care that is truly equitable, not just available. Every child deserves support that sees them fully, culturally and holistically.
When we strip away the schedule, the expectations, and the demands, we give the nervous system a chance to actually reset.
That reset is what makes everything else possible: better regulation, more flexibility, and a kid who can show up more fully when it counts ☀️

July is Minority Mental Health Month—a reminder that mental health doesn't look the same for every child or family.
For children from marginalized communities, emotional struggles are often filtered through layers of culture, identity, and lived experience. Our team at Orchid Pediatrics believes that truly caring for a child means seeing that whole picture.
Every child deserves to feel seen, understood, and supported 💙

When a child is allowed to play freely on their terms, without demands attached, their nervous system gets to rehearse what calm feels like. That rehearsal is the work itself.
Orchid Pediatrics honors every child who needs play to feel safe before they can do anything else. Tell us 💬 how does your child use play to decompress? What does it look like for them?
Play isn't something neurodivergent kids earn when they've behaved well enough: it's how their nervous system learns what safe feels like. Unstructured, child-led play is one of the most powerful regulation tools we have, and it works best when there are no demands attached.
Happy National Therapeutic Recreation Week to every family, educator, and clinician who protects a child's right to play. 🌿

It's National Therapeutic Recreation Week, and we want to talk about something that often gets misunderstood with neurodivergent kids: outdoor time 🌿
Getting outside isn't just a break from the day. For neurodivergent children, outdoor sensory experiences—bare feet in grass, carrying heavy rocks, swinging, digging—are how their nervous systems regulate.
Withholding outdoor time doesn't create more structure. It removes one of their most accessible reset tools.
