October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a time to raise awareness, support those affected, and learn more about caring for our bodies. 💗

The lymphatic system plays an important role in moving lymph fluid throughout the body and supporting normal immune function.

For some people who have undergone breast cancer treatment, changes to lymph nodes or lymphatic pathways can increase the risk of lymphedema. Lymphatic drainage can be a valuable tool in supporting lymphatic care when it is appropriate for the individual. At Vital Energy, we have certified Lymphatic Massage Therapists who understand the importance of providing gentle, individualized care. For clients with lymphedema or those recovering from breast cancer treatment, lymphatic massage should be coordinated with their healthcare provider when appropriate.

At Vital Energy, October is also our Lymphatic Wellness Month. 🌿 We want to use this month not only to offer massage, but also to help our community better understand the lymphatic system and simple ways to support overall wellness.
