This momma has worked so hard for months to get her baby feeding well! Some feeding issues are complex and take a lot to work through. After pain, tongue tie, reflux, body tension and colic, Jack is now finally doing well, enjoying feeds and feeling good in his body. This is another reason why we take insurance. Because complex issues take time to solve and families deserve to have support when they need more visits to get through it. Lactation consultants are infant feeding specialists, not just for breastfeeding, but for bottle feeding as well. Symptoms can affect bottle and breastfeeding. We are trained to identify and work with all kinds of feeding issues. Insurance needs to continue to recognize that we are caring and referring for both parent and baby.

Did you welcome a baby this summer? Our Summer Babies Group starts next Tuesday, August 25th!

This 8-week group is for families with babies born in June, July, or August (late May babies are welcome too!) and is all about finding your people during those early months of parenthood. 💛

Led by Postpartum Doula Megan Overstreet, each week is a chance to:

✨ Ask all your newborn + postpartum questions
✨ Meet other parents in the same stage of life
✨ Share the highs, hard moments, and everything in between
✨ Get out of the house and spend time in a supportive community

Birthing parents, partners, and babies are all welcome.

$35 per session
$245 for the full 8-week series
+$10 for an additional adult

Wildflower Lactation & Postpartum Center is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate IBCLC to join our team!

This is a 1099 independent contractor position starting per diem, with the opportunity to grow to up to 20 hours/week.

✨ We’re looking for someone who:
• Is a current IBCLC with Oregon licensure
• Can provide in-clinic + home visits in the Portland metro area
• Is compassionate, collaborative & comfortable working independently

Spanish-speaking/bilingual and already insurance-credentialed applicants are especially encouraged to apply.

☕️ Baby Café Starts Next Wednesday!

We're so excited to welcome families to Baby Café, beginning Wednesday, August 12th at 11:00 AM at Wildflower Postpartum Center!

Baby Café is a FREE, casual drop-in group where parents and babies can connect, build community, and enjoy a welcoming space together. Whether you're feeding your baby, looking to meet other families, or simply wanting to get out of the house, we'd love to have you join us.

Relax with complimentary mocktails, coffee, tea, and snacks while your little one plays and you connect with other parents. A friendly Wildflower staff member will be there to welcome everyone and help create a warm, supportive environment.

Partners and siblings are always welcome, too! 💛

As our community continues to grow, we're making a few exciting changes!

Lactation Lounge will hold its final gathering on Friday, July 31st, as we transition to Baby Café. A FREE, relaxed, drop-in support group beginning Wednesdays at 11:00am starting August 12th.

Join us for one last Lactation Lounge featuring special guest Krystal Williams, who will be offering a Baby Carrier Clinic! 🎉

Bring your baby (and your partner!), your baby carrier, connect with other families, and enjoy our beautiful community space. Beth Waters, IBCLC and owner of Wildflower Postpartum Center, will be there to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer personalized breastfeeding and infant-feeding support in our welcoming, relaxed environment.

Our beloved Andaluz midwives are reeling from the sudden closure of Andaluz Waterbirth Center after 27 years of serving families in our community.

With little warning, approximately 12 midwives and staff members lost their livelihoods overnight and are now facing weeks without income. Despite this heartbreaking situation, the midwives have chosen to remain on-call and continue caring for their June clients, knowing they may never be compensated for that care.

If an Andaluz midwife or staff member has supported your family, welcomed your baby, or touched your life in any way, please consider donating. Every gift, no matter the size, provides immediate support to the people who have spent nearly three decades caring for our community.
