Apparently it’s Boss’s Day today. I do not have this holiday listed on my calendar, but my team is incredible and I’m spoiled to have such a fun and generous group of people take help take amazing care of our patients.

53 years of age, and nobody can tell why she looks so good.
This lovely patient was feeling like her face was becoming droopy, and wanted a refresh. As part of her Portland Premier Lift 8 months prior to this photo, she underwent:
✅ Preservation-style deep plane face and neck lift
✅ Endoscopic-style browlift
✅ Fat transfer
✅ Erbium laser resurfacing
At 8 months out, she is looking stunning. She looks youthful and radiant without any signs of looking done or unnatural.

Put the pitchforks away…I am speaking based on my own personal experience.
Of course some patients will benefit from chin liposuction. However, more often than not, in my own hands, the result was underwhelming.
I am able to get much more dramatic results for patients with a neck lift.
Trying to swing for the fences with a liposuction can result in aging the neck faster by unmasking platysmal bands, and will also not address low-hanging submandibular glands or platysmal laxity, which I routinely address during a neck lift.
At the end of the day, all I can do is recommend what I would do for my patient if they were a family member.
The post-Open House struggle is REAL.
Guess we'll start looking forward to next year.

I might be the face of the practice, but doing this type of work requires a high-functioning and super capable team.

This incredible woman impacts every single member of our team, even if they don’t know it. I’m lucky to have such an amazing partner in life, that can challenge me and adventure alongside me.
I don’t put my kids on my social media, but they couldn’t ask for a better mother. Give this woman some love!
What is a preservation facelift and why should you care? In surgery, this is also called a limited delamination facelift, and we do this because we want to minimize how much skin undermining is needed to perform the surgery.
I interviewed the authors who described this technique a couple of years ago on the AAFPRS About the Face Podcast, and love this technique.
It’s still only a technique, and your choice of surgeon is a much more important decision, but this is the difference between a traditional deep plane facelift and a “preservation” facelift.
