You will spend 20 minutes making the product and 45 minutes trying to get ONE decent picture of it. 😂

You’ll order 100 labels and immediately decide you want to change something.

You’ll say, “I’m just going to test one little idea,” and somehow end up with six new products on the worktable.

And every available surface in your house will eventually become “business storage.”

But then someone comes back to your booth and says, “I bought this from you last time and I LOVE it.”

And suddenly all the chaos is worth it. ❤️

Small business is weird. It’s messy. And I absolutely love it.

Locally made, locally loved.

🚨 OKAY. I DID IT. I FINALLY FREAKING DID IT. 🚨

After TWO YEARS of testing, tweaking, failing, walking away, coming back and trying again…

TABBYVON WAX MELTS ARE HERE.

And these are GOOD. 🙌

After 2 YEARS of on-and-off testing, I can finally say it:

THE WAX MELTS ARE RIGHT.

The cold throw? Perfect.
The hot throw? Perfect.
The smooth, beautiful surface? PERFECT.

If you’ve ever made wax melts, you know how deceptively simple they look. Wax + fragrance = done, right?

NOPE. 😂

I’ve tested, tweaked, walked away, come back, changed waxes, changed formulas…and FINALLY, I have the wax melt I’ve been trying to make.

Now there’s just one very important question:

This is market day from behind the Tabbyvon booth — people wandering through, neighbors selling what they make and grow, live music playing down the way, and me tucked into my little corner with all the things I’ve made.

I started Tabbyvon Bath & Body as a little side business, and market days are still one of my favorite parts of it. You get to actually meet the people who buy your products, catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and spend the day surrounded by other small businesses doing their thing.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

📍 St. Johns Farmers Market

One of the best parts of being a vendor at the farmers market? Shopping my neighbors’ booths. 😂

Today’s market finds: these gorgeous Italian eggplants from La Petite Ferme and some seriously beautiful tomatoes from Pipsqueak Farm.

The eggplant is destined for eggplant Parmesan tonight, and I’m already plotting what to do with those tomatoes.

I love selling Tabbyvon at the market, but I also love spending my Saturdays surrounded by people who grow, bake and make incredible things of their own.

Just a little glimpse of life beyond the Tabbyvon booth. ❤️

These gorgeous Italian eggplants came from my market-day neighbor, La Petite Ferme and they’re headed straight for Eggplant Parmesan tonight.

One of my favorite things about farmers markets is coming home with something wonderful made or grown by the people working right beside you. Shop small, eat well, support your neighbors. 💚

Used the method by The Dancing Soap Dish for this Christmas soap tester. She uses a mold that she cuts into four bars. I opted for a single bar mold. Not disappointed.
