What I’ve learned about being a good hairdresser is that honesty and transparency go a long way.

I love educating my clients about what I do and what I’m capable of providing. If I feel uncomfortable doing something or don’t believe I can achieve the result you’re asking for, I won’t do it. I’d rather underpromise and overdeliver than set unrealistic expectations.

I want to set both myself and my clients up for success, not create a situation where I’m anxiety-driven and no longer enjoying what I do. That doesn’t mean I won’t challenge myself—but only when both my client and I feel comfortable with the process.

I will never risk the integrity of your hair for unrealistic expectations. Blonding services especially can come with risks, and my goal is always to minimize damage as much as possible while still achieving beautiful results.

What I’ve learned is that honesty builds trust, and trust is what creates long-term relationships with clients.
