I heard a quote the other day that hit a nerve because I’ve lived it more than once.

“If no one asks about your sleep, stress, food, movement, hydration, or environment before handing you a prescription, something’s off.”

I watched it happen with people I love, and I lived it myself.

For years I dealt with cluster migraines and constant allergies. I was given one prescription after another with very little relief. It was disappointing and frustrating.

Almost 10 years ago, I decided to make changes at home with a more natural, root-cause approach. The result? Migraines and allergy symptoms are now rare, and my quality of life is better!!

Turns out, I didn’t need another bandage. I needed to remove what was causing the wound!

If you’ve been stuck in the cycle, there may be another path. I’m always happy to share what helped me. 🤝

Power coffee for ambition
Turmeric ginger tea for peace
Sustain electrolytes for survival
Filtered water for good decisions

Some people have a bar cart. I have a hydration station. 😂. Tell me I’m not the only one with more beverages than available cup holders!🤷🏻‍♀️

If we miss the lessons that we are supposed to learn on the journey, we can’t possibly appreciate the destination. The real prize is the person we become on the way.

Ever catch your reflection and instantly grimace?
Same here! This picture is 100% that moment.

We have all been there, especially us women.
We zero in on the imperfections, the extra lines, the tired eyes, the “ I should’ve worked out more” thoughts…

But here’s the thing, I read the book, “What to Say When You Talk to Your Self” and according to author Shad Helmstetter PhD , the brain believes what we tell it most often! If that inner dialogue is critical or negative, your brain will make sure you keep showing up that way.😱

The good news is that we can flip the script.

Instead of:
“I look awful today…”
Try:
“I am learning to love and care for myself, even on the tough days.”

Instead of:
“I never follow through…”
Try:
“I am capable, consistent, and growing stronger every day.”

It might feel weird at first, but the words we speak to ourselves create the foundation of our reality.

Here’s your challenge today:
Catch one negative thought in the mirror, and rewrite it with truth and kindness.
Then say it out loud.
Seriously. Your brain is listening, and you deserve to be your own biggest encourager.

Drop a “YES” if this resonates—and let’s rewrite the way we talk to ourselves, together.

This is a tough one. Five years ago today, we heard the words that shattered everything ~ Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer😭

I will always wonder…
What if I knew then what I know now?
Would things have been different for Mom?

I’ll never truly know those answers, but here is what I do know:
• I would have asked more questions
• I would have pushed for better answers
• I would have paid closer attention to the warning signs
• I would have made more changes, faster

I miss her.
Every. Single. Day.

Some days still feel impossible, but I have to make this pain have a purpose. If I can help even one person avoid this heartache, I promise I will.

It is why I continue to talk about prevention and how critically important it is to make better, healthier choices every chance we get.
I will continue to stand on this soapbox over and over and over again because taking time for wellness is so much easier than living with the aftermath of illness.

Your health matters more than you know. Nobody is invincible, and it can happen to your family. I know because it happened to mine even though it was the last thing any of us ever expected.
Please don’t wait🙏🏼❣️

Road trips = snacks.
We all agree on that, right? 😉

The only thing that’s changed for me is that I no longer gravitate towards sugary snacks because I have tools to control my sweet tooth.

Now it’s real protein that actually fuels me,
and I feel the difference💪🏻
