The Roots team in action! Once a month we hold an In-service so the team can learn from each other. This kind of cross-training is what makes our integrative approach so unique. When our physical therapists, massage therapist, and functional trainer learn from each otherâs specialities, it means a more holistic, deeply coordinated level of care for you. đ

⨠Not your typical physical therapy. â¨
If youâve never had a physical therapist work in your armpit, you might be missing the root cause of your shoulder, neck, or rib pain!
At Roots our Manual Physical Therapy goes beyond standard exercises. We take a hands-on, full-body approach to find and fix whatâs actually driving your discomfort.
What does this mean for you? Our treatment may include:
đ 1. Mechanical Treatment We restore proper mobility to your tissues. Yes, that includes targeted soft tissue and neural mobilization in complex areas like the axilla (armpit) to release stubborn, deep-seated restrictions that stretch all the way through your shoulder and chest.
đ§ 2. Neuromuscular Treatment Once the tissues can move, we get your nervous system and muscles talking to each other again. We use techniques like PNF and developmental patterning to âresetâ the system, waking up sleepy muscles and calming down overactive ones.
đŞ 3. Motor Control Finally, we lock in those changes. Through breathing exercises and functional movement training, we build the muscle memory you need to stay pain-free long after you leave the clinic.
We donât just treat the symptoms, we discover the root cause.

Ever leave the gym feeling tighter, stiffer, or more sore in your joints than when you walked in? đ
Traditional gym workouts are great for isolating muscles, but they often forget one major thing: how your body actually moves in real life. Life doesnât happen on a machine. It requires you to twist, bend, reach, and lift without pain.
If youâre ready to bridge the gap between fitness and true physical freedom, you need Functional Personal Training with Bryan Waltimyer at Roots Integrative Therapies.
Bryan isnât just a personal trainer. He is a trained Manual Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with an expert eye for biomechanics. He doesnât just give you a workoutâhe analyzes how your joints and muscles interact to:
â
Fix hidden movement flaws before they cause injury
â
Safe-proof your body if youâre transitioning out of physical therapy
â
Build real-world strength, balance, and core stability
â
Keep you doing the hobbies you love, pain-free
Whether youâre recovering from an old injury, an athlete wanting to move more efficiently, or simply looking to live with less stiffness, Bryan builds a custom roadmap for your unique body.
