Here is a list of things that your Mainstream stylist doesn’t care about:

1. YOU DONT WANT TO TALK? Amazing. We have been talking professionally for eight consecutive hours. Enjoy your silent appointment, sis.

2. YOU BRING YOUR EMOTIONAL CRISIS TO THE APPOINTMENT. Our degree may be in the beauty business, but fortunately the cape has been activated. We call this “hair-apy.”

3. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU WANT. Perfect. That’s quite literally why you came to us. Sit down, we will figure it out together.

4. YOU HAVE NOT GOTTEN YOUR HAIR DONE IN A YEAR. We are not your dentist. You are not in trouble. Welcome back, babe!

5. YOU HAVE TO WORK DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT. Laptop out, AirPods in. Take the zoom call. We are working women too, slay Queen!

6. YOU “CHEATED” ON US. Girl, it’s ok. Happy to see you again! Our schedule is busy, and so is your life. We understand.

7. YOU CUT YOUR OWN HAIR, OR WORSE….. YOUR OWN BANGS. It’s ok. We can laugh together. Now, let’s focus on fixing that oopsie.

8. YOU CRY IN THE CHAIR. We will cry with you, but keep your head straight while we foil. 😉

9. YOUR NERVOUS. Tell us everything you’re scared of. Too short? Too dark? Had a bad experience? We want to know.

10. YOU SHOW US 52 INSPO PICS. Yes. Show us the entire camera roll. We want to know exactly what your brain is envisioning.

11. YOU TELL US YOU HATE SOMETHING. Please tell us. We would rather adjust something, and have you go home feeling amazing!
