This inform you that, effective July 1, 2026, the Career Firefighters of the Phillies Fire Co. will transition to employees of the Goodwill Fire Co.
The Borough of Pottstown has been notified and is in complete support of both organizations moving forward with this transition. Leadership from both the Phillies Fire Co. and the Goodwill Fire Co. recognize that this transition would not be possible without the strong working relationship, open communication, and mutual respect that has been established between the two companies.
Throughout this process, both organizations have remained committed to ensuring that the focus continues to be on public safety, employee support, and providing professional service to the residents and visitors of the Borough of Pottstown.

We would like to introduce Rick Lombardo, who will be assuming the position of Full-Time Firefighter/EMT.

Rick brings numerous certifications in fire and rescue, along with valuable experience and a strong commitment to the fire service.

We are proud to welcome Rick to the team and look forward to the dedication and professionalism he will bring to the department and our community.
