For over 25 years, my husband, Philip “Asmar” Price, did more than cut hair — he built community. Through Next Level Barbershop, he created a space where people felt seen, heard, and valued. His chair wasn’t just for a fresh cut — it was a space for laughter, conversation, and guidance. Whether you were a lifelong client or simply stopped by to say hello, you always left feeling better than when you came in.

Asmar was a proud man of faith, a devoted Muslim, and a true pillar in the Pottstown community. His warmth, wisdom, and kindness extended far beyond the walls of his shop. He took pride in mentoring young barbers, encouraging the next generation, and showing what it meant to serve others with passion and heart. His legacy will forever live on through the many lives he touched.

To honor his life and the light he brought to so many, we will be holding a balloon release this Saturday, October 11th, from 2:00–3:30 PM, in front of Next Level Barbershop in Pottstown, PA. Balloons will be released together at 3:00 PM sharp.

Please bring green, silver, or white balloons in honor of his love for the Eagles 🦅. If you were close to him and would like to share a few words or a memory during the event, please reach out to me directly.

Additionally, we are accepting donations for the Philip Asmar Price Legacy Fund — a scholarship established to continue his mission of inspiring and uplifting others. This fund will help a young Black man or woman pursue their education in barbering or cosmetology, supporting the next generation of stylists and barbers who share his passion for the craft. By donating, you help keep his spirit alive through opportunity, creativity, and community. All donations are welcomed and deeply appreciated.
