Let’s talk SPF!!! From a spray tan artists’ perspective it protects your spray tan from the elements (not just UV exposure) but from chlorine and salt water!! Lotion/cream sunscreens are the best for creating a barrier for your skin making it almost “waterproof” Aerosols are an absolute NO GO, due to the high alcohol content it dries out your skin and doesn’t give complete coverage!

From a “skin health” perspective:
Unfortunately sun damage doesn’t show up overnight… but it always shows up 😵‍💫 Daily SPF isn’t optional, it’s basic skin care.

Melanoma Monday 🖤
Fact:
Melanoma can develop in places that rarely see the sun, not just your skin that’s exposed to the sun. It can show up on the scalp, under nails, soles of the feet, and even in the eyes.

That’s exactly why a quick, routine skin check is so important. We assume “no sun = no risk,” and that’s just not how melanoma works😵‍💫
