Thinking about starting or continuing your tattoo removal journey this summer? You don’t have to press pause, but you do need to be extra protective.

The two golden rules for summer laser aftercare:

1. Limit Sun Exposure: A sunburned or deeply tanned area cannot safely be treated. Keep the target area covered or out of direct sunlight for at least 2 to 4 weeks before and after your session.

2. Zinc-Based SPF: Once the initial healing (blistering/scabbing) subsides, use a broad-spectrum, physical SPF 30 or higher daily. Reapply every 2 hours!
